Dirty Tarot and the Kickstarter funded 22 card Tablula Idem deck.  :)

I think these two will get along well.

Now the madness of NaNoWriMo is done (yes, I was a winner!) hopefully I will get a LOT more tarot done oh, and yeah, not to mention the house...lol...the house always seems to come in last.  My husband has actually resorted to cleaning a few things here and there.

I have returned! I didn't really have the energy to dedicate to tarot, but I'm ready to get back at it. I haven't decided between my factory fresh Witch Bone tarot or my Ostara. Maybe both? I'll get back to you on that.

Edit: Decided to work with the Ostara tarot this week and do a month long challenge with my Pagan Otherworlds.

Congrats on the success of your NaNoWriMo endeavor VGimlet (that's quite an undertaking), and thanks for the new thread!

I'm in with the Hoi Polloi Tarot paired with the Clark & Gill I Ching.

I skipped a week or two since I just didn't feel for tarot, but the last week I been eyeing my Masonic on the shelf every time I pass it.

So

jema, is the Masonic Tarot you're going to use the one by Beauchard or the 2016 deck by Silva?

Hello, hello,

Please sign me in for the Bohemian Gothic tarot !

Again ! yes, I know, I said I would spend a month with it, but a month is not enough ..... and I haven't had half the time I wanted to spend with this deck. So I am staying with it another week... at least !

Have a warm and happy weekend !

:)

Thanks for keeping us going VG! I do appreciate it and appreciate the impetus it provides to keep me working with my decks!

I'll be in with the Albano-Waite and the Bonefire Tarot again. I've been working a bit more with the A-W this past week, so I listed it first. ;)

I'll stick to the decks I used last week. Seems I can't get enough of the Sasuraibito yet and I wanna try to understand Lenormand more.

I've been meaning to post this for a while now - my deck of the week-list where I keep tabs on which decks I've used and how many times! I think I joined DotW in June maybe? There are some favourites and some decks I just haven't been in the mood to work with yet.

What a great idea PageofGhosts! Thanks for posting that. I think I may have to go back & see what I've used so I can plan what I still want to work with.

Nice list, PoG!!

Mine would have marks by just a few decks, since I keep repeating  :-[ , but I like hanging out in these threads and seeing what everyone's reading.  :)

PoG, I'm a list-maker too  ;D, though mine is online because my handwriting has gotten so bad (unlike yours which is neat!). Under each month of the year, I list the pairs (oracle and tarot) I work with each week. It has really helped me decide which decks are keepers and which to pass on.

From the Hoi Polloi Tarot, the Two of Swords; from the I Ching Pack, 'Thunder over Lake:'

Two heads are not better than one if they each want to go in a different direction.

~ James Ricklef

I am often of two minds - one of logic and one of emotion. I wrestle with what I should do and what I want to do, with the rational choice and the nicer choice. It's helpful when there's a middle alternative, but sometimes it's just an either/or decision. Thunder over Lake shows a woman planning a marriage that is doomed to fail. The wisdom this hexagram represents is in thinking things through rather than just jumping into what looks good (or what is expected) at the moment. Like the Two of Swords woman, she needs to be still and check her motives. Why is she about to make this choice? Even when outward appearances suggest I am being kind, I may make unwise decisions simply to hide or distract myself from a problem. I just don't want to deal with the dilemma right now. But such a fix is short-lived; the dam will eventually break, and I'll have to deal with a flood of issues even worse than the original problem. I'd do better to pause and consider the long view - what the outcome will likely be not just in the next few minutes but in the days and months to come.

I took a break from daily tarot last month in the hopes it'd give me more time for my other, similar practices... And then I ended up doing neither. So much for that bright idea.

So I'm back, using the Divina Tarot and the Minimalist Oracle this week!

That's a nice idea, Page of Ghosts! I'm going to do that for the final DoTW this year, but I think I'd only have around a dozen decks on my list since I like to focus on a specific deck for a long(-ish) period of time.

Thanks for all the compliments on my list everyone ;D

I feel like I'm starting to get some favourites that I'll use more than others so I think in the future there might be some of them that have a lot more marks than the others. In the beginning I tried to use them all evenly but there are some I just like more than the others it seems ;D

jema, is the Masonic Tarot you're going to use the one by Beauchard or the 2016 deck by Silva?

It's the older one Beauchard. Large and lovely!!

Page of ghost, you need to pick out that Silicon Dawn asap!! you will LOVE it!

As for me, Masonic is wonderful but huge and unwieldly to do anothing other than 2-3 card readings with.

So I divide it in 2 parts, one majors and one minor and pull a card from each.

My copy is a used one but they only used the majors. The minors are more plain but still quite expressive.

I love large decks so the Tarot Maçonnique goes straight to my wishlist. Thanks jema!

Congratulations on your NaNoWriMo work, VG!  :) That's a huge undertaking! I miss my writing so much. The torture of the semester is almost over, though - next week is finals, and then I will have some actual time for my decks and my fiction, I hope. (It's a good thing the term is almost done - my students are driving me up the wall at this point!)
