Daily Card Process

I am interested to see how others do their dailies.  Here is how mine have been done but I am wondering where there is room for improvement - the question always makes me wonder that. 
1 - shuffle with the question “give me insight into my day, today” as my focus while doing so

2 - read the cut, I use this as an overall influence of the day

3 - deal out three cards and read as something more specific to occur during the day. I read them as storybook format.

 

So does anyone have a way they might read their dailies, keeping in mind my interest in more traditional style of reading?

I have tried to make a daily effort in reordering my cards after the previous day's shuffles, and sage them.

 

Sometimes I combine two tarot decks together to get more accurate readings- and that way if  I get more duplicates, I'll know that is my main focus.

 

I usually draw a card of the day from each deck that I use to convey a message from my guides.

Hi I draw two cards, first card main daily headline, second card influences first. Works for me as I try and read as spiritual advise, but the every day stuff does come through as well... I shuffle and draw on 7s....
