Hello!

Featured Replies

I just wanted to say hi and do a 'quick' (we shall see about that  ;D) introduction. I started to take an interest in cartomancy at the age of twelve and used regular playing cards until a relative of mine gifted me my very first tarot deck at the age of 14. It was a majors only deck that did not resonate so well with me, but fortunately that only made me more motivated to find a deck that would work for me. It took me quite some time to save enough money to buy a deck, and it also took some searching to find one (this was back in the nineties, pre-internet, in a Scandinavian country where tarot cards was not so common). I read lots of books while I was searching so my interest did not die out. Then, a little over a year later I found a tiny metaphysical store in a town near by, and after carefully looking through their very minuscule tarot-section settled on the Gendron Tarot. It was not love at first sight, nor was it love at second sight. It just kept me going until I was able to visit some relatives in a bigger city and find some more decks. I still have my Gendron tarot but it has not grown on me. (I have since come to the conclusion that I generally do not like computer generated art.)

So it's been about twenty years since i started using tarot cards, and I have never stopped using them. I did work professionally for a very brief period of time in my early twenties, but since then I mostly read for my self and sometimes for other people (though free of charge). I do both psychological readings and divinatory readings and my 'style' is a combination of intuition and traditional book-knowledge.

Ok, time to wrap this up!  ;) I am happy to be here and to be a part of the community. It is such a nice feeling to find kindred spirits!

Hello, Raggydoll!

I first started reading tarot since I was about 13-14 years old as well. Tarot is not so common here as well (in the UK) but I was able to grabb it from a bookstore (before all those online shopping giants appeared, like Amazon, Ebay). Gosh, it was a long time ago  :-[

Anyway, welcome to the forum. It is nice to see you here  :-*

Hi raggydoll.  Nice introductions post.

I don't go back quite as far(started in mid 90's/my mid 40's ), but I do remember not having many options for acquiring decks...Waldenbooks was where I found my first deck.

Hi Raggydoll, nice to have you here! I really like the story you shared- it seems like the cards were calling you from a young age!

Thank you all  :)

Hi Raggydoll! Nice to meet you. I also started with playing cards, then my dad bought me the Aquarian tarot when I was 17. :)

Hi Raggydoll! I've already interacted you in some threads, and I must say that I find your posts valuable and well-thought-out, especially your card interpretations. Anyway, welcome to the Forums, and I hope I'd bump into you again in more threads in the future. :D

Oh, this just made my morning even better. Thank you so much!
