stephanelli Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 We were discussing this deck in another thread, so I thought I'd open up a thread to discuss the imagery and how they relate to either the meanings Kim Krans gives them or other meanings you like to give it! (This is where we originally discussed it) @rosieblack1 🙂
stephanelli Posted August 31, 2021 Author Posted August 31, 2021 In the other thread we were discussing the Ace of Swords: I love the lightning strikes on this one - they connect me to the flash of inspiration that can bring mental clarity.  But what do you think the rainbow snakeskin around the sword represents though? Kim Krans' keywords are truth and mental clarity. To me it looks like an infinity symbol, but turned on its side - which would represent infinity and eternity which would be persuaded to represent endless possibilities that come with the flash of clarity. Is it important that that's the only bit that's coloured?  Any thoughts?
Bodhiseed Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 For me personally, the infinity symbol implies a sense of spaciousness and boundlessness rather than constriction - very important for new ideas and inspiration to form! 😊

Flaxen Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 The rainbow snake makes me think of the eternal truth - the deeper truth which the sword pierces in those moments of profound clarity.Â
DanielJUK Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 The old tarot forum AT had a wonderful study group for the deck, I have it bookmarked and use it as a reference a lot for studying the cards. It's here. We can continue the studying of the cards over on here with time. This is the exact thread for the Ace of Swords study here. I bought the Wild Unknown book years ago when it was a separate item and to be honest those study threads of different views have helped me far more. Â It says on that old thread and I have always thought in this card that the snake is the symbol of a Ouroboros, a serpent in the shape of a circle or figure of 8 (infinity symbol) eating it's own tail. Â This card is to me about a flash of inspiration and truth with the lightning and sword (almost conducting that lighting power in). But the ouroboros shows that everything is cyclical. The rest of the card (in black and white) reminds me of a thunderstorm hitting the Sword. There are sometimes dark times in our lives. But the rainbow of the snake is a reminder that the wheel keeps turning, our lives keep changing. However the rainbow snake (the only colours of the card) are very healing. Whatever we are going through, a broken heart, a betrayal, poor health, sad times (thunderstorm) can heal as the wheel (or snake) keeps turning onwards. You just have to channel that inspiration, truth and energy in! Â Â Â
