Marina Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Hi everyone! I'm reaquainting myself with the Lenormand and am looking for ways to practice more frequently, in order to study. I know many people do forecasts and I'd like some tips and advice because I never really managed to get the hang of them. Any suggestions on how to incorporate the Lenormand in a routine in order to improve are much much welcome! Share anything that worked for you. Thanks!
katrinka Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Asking how a book or movie will play out. Asking about misplaced objects. Asking how dinner will turn out - or about anything, really. Thinking in Lenormand: if something catches your attention, ask yourself "What cards might communicate this?" What actually comes up in a reading about it might be totally different, but it's still beneficial to train your mind. You're learning a language. The best way to do that is immersion. 😉
selena Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 @katrinka’s recommendations will give you a robust programme. One thing I would suggest is perhaps putting aside the Tarot cards for a month or two. Any question that pops into your head read on it. Also, try both month ahead and week-ahead readings.

Five cards? 4 hours ago, selena said: @katrinka’s recommendations will give you a robust programme. One thing I would suggest is perhaps putting aside the Tarot cards for a month or two. I will save the tarot only for a reading circle I joined to participate this month and try to focus on the Lenormand, see how it goes.

Three cards? Five cards? I'd suggest changing it up, getting used to larger spreads too. Don't fall into thinking that you have to achieve X number of things before you can do a Grand Tableau. The PL sheet ONLY had instructions for the GT, so I'm sure a lot of people started with it. But you'll naturally do a lot of 3 and 5 carders - I still do, they're fast and often all that's needed.
DanielJUK Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 It really helped me learning combinations to read 3 cards for each week. I know you said you don't like forecasts @marinaoracles but it's useful to relate how they turn out as a theme or event that happens in the week. I would do a reading every Monday for the next 7 days with 3 cards. At the beginning I found it hard to relate but with time it became really interesting! I did it for about a year. The most fascinating one that happened was one Monday I got Tower + Owls / Birds + Fox or Snake, something untrustworthy or something like that and I had during the week a phone call from an official trying to catch me out. It was a casual phone call but they were trying to trip me up in a bureaucracy case. As soon as the person phoned out of the blue I thought of the weekly reading and not to trust their friendly manner. So I was thankful for that reading 🙂 . After that I did monthly 3x3 box spreads at the start of each month. I know the reading method that works best for me to see how it turns out in a practical way. Do a reading, ask a question, make a prediction and then how does it actually manifest? I then take it into account the next time I get the same card.

That's why I wanted tips on how to start doing then, and your post has given me many many ideas! Thank you for sharing your experience! I want to have the to pportunity to check how my readings manifest in real life, you know? I noticed I was becoming a bit of a wishy-washy reader, talking about energies and impressions, but unable to make solid, objective predictions. It's bothering me, hence why I am also looking into more traditionally predictive oracle methods, such are playing cards and Lenormand! 😊
