Lumos x Nox Kickstarter - Rebirth?

Did anyone else back this Kickstarter? The creator has gone missing apparently- there have no updates since June, when they said they were having problems and they would refund your pledge. I asked for a refund and …. crickets.

You will never get a refund from Kickstarter. Just so you know. They even have a disclaimer that basically says so. (I'm a backer for one that went belly up I think three years ago. The comments are priceless - we all drop by from time to time to make rude remarks. There are many threatening legal action - but nada.)

 

Wait - it was SEVEN years ago.

So the creator who was running the KS indicated they're going through numerous personal issues, and the main holdup is the books; the decks and boxes are done (and in-hand, I think).

 

We've had updates since June, though, they've just been through the comments section. They've been working to process refunds, though their last login was late August.

 

As someone who waited through Blood Moon and Dinosaurs de Marseille, I sympathize with people who are frustrated, I just also wish folks would be a little more understanding of how brutal life has been to some people of late. I'm hopeful this will still come through, I just expect it'll be a little longer.

I understand very well how brutal life has become.  I also waited through Blood Moon. The creator offered refunds in the last update and it looks like some have gotten them but some have not.  I remain hopeful that they will complete the project.  It's kind of irritating that they're offering presales when they haven't sent out the existing orders, though.

Yes indeed - but I haven't forgotten three decks I backed on kickstarter that promised refunds which never materialised. All I meant is that Kickstarter will not help you - not at all. This creator may be the exception. I hope so.

 

And yes - I was in on Blood Moon too, and also Bonestone and Earthflesh, which was rather worse.

Ugh, that sucks, I'm sorry to hear it. 😕 It's stories like that which make me so careful in what I back!

Oh that's right, BS&EF was in fact much more of a rollercoaster. And even that worked out...mostly...so I'm hopeful this will as well.

Aargh - I almost forgot about the trainwreck that was Bonestone.

In this case I THINK thus far I am on the side of "I do think she will finish, but if she doesn't don't bother looking to Kickstarter..." Because this one is in the US, I didn't back it - the postage and customs mean I almost never do, now.
