Hello, I recently just purchased my own tarot deck. I enjoy getting readings from others and always wanted my own deck so I recently purchased one and still trying to learn about it and how it works. Sometimes I feel like I'm doing it wrong because my cards won't match the answers or so forth... If anyone has any helpful guidance or tips please let me know. I'm excited to participate in these forums hopefully I can learn some stuff from all of you.

Also would like to state that a few psychics told me that they sense that I have psychic abilities which Idk if it's true or not I would like to believe it's true. One of them suggested I should start practicing tarot and it could help.. So yeah there is that lol

You're at a good place to learn things. The combined experience of the seasoned readers here is probably 1000 years, lol. Much better than facebook! 🙂
As for psychism, it isn't necessary for reading cards. My daughter sometimes gets "visits" in dreams and only finds out later that the person passed around that time. When she was a preschooler it was even stronger, she didn't even have to be sleeping. But she doesn't read cards. I, on the other hand, get nothing. Yes, I've seen some unexplainable things on rare occasions in my life, but I was not alone. The people with me saw them, too. There are strange things in this life that we don't understand well, but I am NOT psychic.

 

It's not for lack of trying. I've always read that the safest and surest method of unfolding psychic abilities is crystal gazing. So I practiced on the regular for months until I could actually see stuff. I can watch the pictures come and go on what the Dalai Lama calls "ancient television". But they've all been so cryptic IME, that it's often impossible to make sense of them. I do enjoy gazing, and thinking and wondering about the things I saw after the fact. It's a wonderful meditative exercise. But after literally decades, I'm still not psychic, nor do I expect to be. You might have better luck - I compiled some resources here, if you're interested:

It's OK - if you have the sight, it's good. And if you don't, learning the cards well will give you an ability to see around corners. The difference is that someone like my daughter gets told without having to ask, but someone like me who is just a reader has to ask the cards. I don't sit around asking the cards if this or that person is going to die unexpectedly, of course, so when that happens I'm always broadsided. And I don't envy my daughter that gift. It's a burden in many respects. But I've correctly predicted every US presidential election since the 1970's with cards, with the exception of 2016. And Hillary DID win the popular vote - we have to be very careful how we phrase questions!

 

You don't have to be special or psychic to read cards. Just work at it. It will give back to you exactly what you put into it.
