Dirty tarot is pretty interesting, I have to say.  I forgot it really is pretty spicy, LOL.

I'm staying with my Dreaming Way Lenormand as it looks like I'll have to wait just a little bit longer for my Blue Owl. And, out of all things, I'm adding in the Chocobo Playing Cards ( https://store.na.square-enix.com/product/435897/chocobo-playing-card-deck ) I found at the local comic book store! I've been thinking of learning how to read with regular playing cards and these Chocobo ones were too cute to pass up so now I guess I'm giving it a try.

Hi all!

I cleaned up my deck list to only those I actually wanna be stuck with for a week and I am now down to 159.

This week I picked out 2012 Ascension tarot. I think I have used it one week before this and quite liked it.

Hello, VG and everyone! I am sorry for posting late, but I am going to give this week a go, as my semester is finally starting to wind down. Victorian Fairy Tarot for me - and VG, I will probably just stick with it for the next few weeks. I need a deck that feels like home, and I will have to bring it with me as we travel around for the holidays.

I hope you all have been well! :)

From the Sun and Moon Tarot, the Five of Wands; from the Wisdom Keepers, 'Leadership:'

strife.jpg  leadership_0002.jpg

In the first illustration, two people engage in the African martial art known as donga. The object is to see which of them is the strongest, or 'the Bull.' Because this is a Thoth-based deck, this card is given the keyword 'strife.' It reminds me of how often self-will knocks heads with others when different sides think they each know the right way of doing things. Conflict is not necessarily bad when it exposes all the angles of an issue. But occasionally the mediation or brainstorm session can become a battle of arrogance, and the importance of the overall situation is completely forgotten. I want to call out to the battling youngsters, "Put down your weapons - the field is on fire!" Today's Wisdom Keeper asks the question, "Do you lead in the spirit of humility and service?" Our idea of leadership has become twisted and corrupt these days. It has nothing to do with who has the most 'likes' or followers, or who has the power to bully or manipulate others. These two wise women explain its meaning very well:

A leader isn't someone who forces others to make him stronger; a leader is someone willing to give his strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own. ~ Beth Revis

To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

I loved working with the Bonefire Tarot these past couple of weeks. But, I'm ready to switch it up for while. I finally found where I'd stashed a few decks which weren't on my shelves and found my World Spirit Tarot! Woot!

I'm so glad to have had the Renaissance and the Golden Tarot of Klimt for this week. It feels surreal that I've already finished all my circle exchanges for the month. Looking forward to working on the Sacred Days of Yule this coming week. :)

2012 ascension actually managed to piss me off.

something about how women are posed in provokative poses. It feels icky and dated.

so off to the bad decks box it goes

I have gotten to do a few self-readings with The World Spirit Tarot this past week. It's been giving very good, direct, no-nonsense readings so far ... and patient as well. As I have been using it for my daily readings, on repeating issues, it has given very similar readings from day to day. There have been some cards repeating over 2 or 3 readings as well, which is a bit unusual. Though theme seem to repeat, I get a sense of "it's okay, work on these things", rather than any impatience. Anyway, I'm finding it to be an excellent deck to work with.
