VGimlet Posted December 9, 2017 Author Posted December 9, 2017 Back this week with ; VGimlet - Dirty Tarot & Steven Universe (22 card majors) Dirty tarot is pretty interesting, I have to say. I forgot it really is pretty spicy, LOL.
RavenOfSummer Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Thanks VG! I'm in with Star Tarot & The Messenger Cards (the Sandra Kunz deck). RavenOfSummer - Star Tarot & The Messenger Cards
Queen of Nothing Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I'm going to continue with my Pagan Otherworlds and switch out the Ostara for my Slow Holler. Queen of Nothing- Pagan Otherworlds & Slow Holler Tarot
Page of Ghosts Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I'm staying with my Dreaming Way Lenormand as it looks like I'll have to wait just a little bit longer for my Blue Owl. And, out of all things, I'm adding in the Chocobo Playing Cards ( https://store.na.square-enix.com/product/435897/chocobo-playing-card-deck ) I found at the local comic book store! I've been thinking of learning how to read with regular playing cards and these Chocobo ones were too cute to pass up so now I guess I'm giving it a try. jema Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Hi all! I cleaned up my deck list to only those I actually wanna be stuck with for a week and I am now down to 159. This week I picked out 2012 Ascension tarot. I think I have used it one week before this and quite liked it.
EmpyreanKnight Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 For an exchange this week, I'm going to use the Golden Tarot of Klimt. So kindly change mine to EmpyreanKnight - Renaissance Tarot + Golden Tarot of Klimt Thanks VGimlet. :)
Bodhiseed Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I'm in with the Sun and Moon Tarot paired with the Wisdom Keepers Oracle. Thank you VG! Getting chilly here (which in Southern-speak means below 60F ;D).
Rose Lalonde Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Rose Lalonde - Asherah Tarot (Probably into the new year, since I plan to read with it for the Yule group spread.) Thanks, VG!
GreenFaerie Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Hello, VG and everyone! I am sorry for posting late, but I am going to give this week a go, as my semester is finally starting to wind down. Victorian Fairy Tarot for me - and VG, I will probably just stick with it for the next few weeks. I need a deck that feels like home, and I will have to bring it with me as we travel around for the holidays. I hope you all have been well! :)
Bodhiseed Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 From the Sun and Moon Tarot, the Five of Wands; from the Wisdom Keepers, 'Leadership:' In the first illustration, two people engage in the African martial art known as donga. The object is to see which of them is the strongest, or 'the Bull.' Because this is a Thoth-based deck, this card is given the keyword 'strife.' It reminds me of how often self-will knocks heads with others when different sides think they each know the right way of doing things. Conflict is not necessarily bad when it exposes all the angles of an issue. But occasionally the mediation or brainstorm session can become a battle of arrogance, and the importance of the overall situation is completely forgotten. I want to call out to the battling youngsters, "Put down your weapons - the field is on fire!" Today's Wisdom Keeper asks the question, "Do you lead in the spirit of humility and service?" Our idea of leadership has become twisted and corrupt these days. It has nothing to do with who has the most 'likes' or followers, or who has the power to bully or manipulate others. These two wise women explain its meaning very well: A leader isn't someone who forces others to make him stronger; a leader is someone willing to give his strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own. ~ Beth Revis To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
Trogon Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I loved working with the Bonefire Tarot these past couple of weeks. But, I'm ready to switch it up for while. I finally found where I'd stashed a few decks which weren't on my shelves and found my World Spirit Tarot! Woot! Trogon - The World Spirit Tarot
jema Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I'm in with the Sun and Moon Tarot paired with the Wisdom Keepers Oracle. Thank you VG! Getting chilly here (which in Southern-speak means below 60F ;D). omg, i love this!!! cuteness overload!
EmpyreanKnight Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 I'm so glad to have had the Renaissance and the Golden Tarot of Klimt for this week. It feels surreal that I've already finished all my circle exchanges for the month. Looking forward to working on the Sacred Days of Yule this coming week. :)
jema Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 2012 ascension actually managed to piss me off. something about how women are posed in provokative poses. It feels icky and dated. so off to the bad decks box it goes
Trogon Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I have gotten to do a few self-readings with The World Spirit Tarot this past week. It's been giving very good, direct, no-nonsense readings so far ... and patient as well. As I have been using it for my daily readings, on repeating issues, it has given very similar readings from day to day. There have been some cards repeating over 2 or 3 readings as well, which is a bit unusual. Though theme seem to repeat, I get a sense of "it's okay, work on these things", rather than any impatience. Anyway, I'm finding it to be an excellent deck to work with.
