What decks did you discover this past year (perhaps new to you, but not necessarily published this past year) that quickly became your favorites?

I'm very partial to the Rare Triumphs Tarot. It's well-grounded in tradition, but it's different, too. A wonderful change of pace. 💖

And 2021 was the year of the second printing of the Fantastic Menagerie. So I spent a good amount of time rediscovering it.

I do have the ROAR Oracle. It sometimes has that oracle deck vagueness, but it works well as a supplement to other systems. I like it because I like a lot of the women in it. You don't get a deck with Billie Holiday, Frida Kahlo and the Night Witches every day. 🙂

I discovered and was lucky enough to find a reasonably priced copy of Andrea Serio's Dante Tarot. I *love* the art on this deck. I was doing my usual perusal of the Facebook groups (for an Idiosyncradeck which I finally FINALLY found) and came across it in a post for a very decent price. I was in love instantly.

Ah if only. This is why I scan those groups, though; you never know what someone is selling without a massive markup.

If you search well, you can find it for cheap ...

For example: recently I was looking for a deck " L'Oeil de Myrddin" for a long time, because I really wanted to get it….(this is very rare deck).  And I found it! Cheap.  In a one Japanese store))

The Rare Triumphs Tarot looks *very* interesting.

My favourite new deck is the Dark Mansion Tarot: although I admit there are a couple of cards whose design doesn't totally convince me, it is overwhelmingly a beautifully deck, with wonderfully playful images that stop us taking ourselves too seriously. And most importantly, it seems to give accurate readings.

Somehow, and I'm not pointing any fingers here (maybe), I am the proud owner of the Conjure Cards .🤨

 

I like them but it led me down the rabbit hole to see what other playing card decks I may have missed out on.

 

 

 

I bought several decks this year and last I'm not at all disappointed about purchasing.

In 2021 I got The Shadowlands Tarot and the Dark Mansion Tarots.  I have worked a little with the Shadowlands and I like it a lot, just got the Dark Mansions for Christmas and have not had the pleasure of working with it yet but I have a feeling I will really enjoy this deck.  Overall 2021 was a slow tarot year for me in general with life and work taking up all my time.  Hoping to get back in the swing of things in 2022 and get back to enjoying my decks and this community.
