Sorry I'm late to the party! I hate it when work gets in the way of tarot!!! I find the oracles I actually read with have a system. I like my Bachbluten Devas (Bach flower remedies) and I Ching decks, Tao Oracle and I Ching of Love. And I like theme decks that are really mostly learning flashcards: sacred sites (Earth Power Oracle and Sacred Sites Oracle Cards), goddesses (the ridiculously beautiful Goddess Oracle by Marashinsky and Janto), animals (Druid Animal Oracle), mythical animals (Mythical Creatures Oracle), flowers (Flower Reading Cards and Flowers of the Night Oracle by Cheralyn Darcey), etc. (I have my eye on another mythical animals deck on Kickstarter now called Charming Cryptids!) I’m one of those people who thinks an oracle should have some system, not just a collection of keywords, but not too much system so that there’s a big learning curve. Thus the attraction to decks with an existing system. It’s a learning thing, too! I learn runes, I Ching, etc. while I play with cards! What could be better!
