From Lara Zellner/Eight Coin's Instagram account:

eight.coins SO EXCITED to announce that my tarot deck, Eight Coins' Tattoo Tarot, is officially off to the printers!!!! The publisher, @usgamesinc, said #eightcoinstattootarot is expected to be available for sale before the new year! I know you all have been waiting so patiently, and I am beyond appreciative. I am so excited for the release, and am just thrilled with the editing and graphics US Games has done.

.

.

The deck will be released as a deck and book box set. The set includes an 82 card deck (the original 78, and 4 new ones for this release), a full color guidebook, as well as a large fold out card spread with instructions on how to read, "The Rose Spread" -- A card spread US Games and I crafted just for this deck :) I've been using The Rose Spread over the past couple months and have been loving how intuitive it is to read with.

.

.

Thanks again for your patience and as always for the love and support you all have shown me over the past three years :)

US Games doesn't always release deck and book sets. But if the companion book is anything like the one published with the First Edition, the detail and extent of the info in it are bound to be exceptional. It might not have the same production value, but when it comes to books I focus more on the content.

Here are snapshots of the book from the indie version:

Oh my goodness. I have a mighty need. I love tattoos and the artwork is lovely. Its a shame I didn't know about it before, but I'm looking forward to getting it.

Oh my! So Excited! I have one of the first edition indie decks I picked up second hand which I love love love, but will definitely pick up the US Games version as well to have a second deck.  Love the imagery so much.  Some of her card interpretations and use of visuals are not what I would prefer, however the artwork is so lovely I am willing to overlook that.  Very excited, can't wait. :)

Me too! I don't think I'll ever consider having a tattoo on any part of my body (never say never tho), but the art here is quite something else.

I'm glad to know you actually have the deck and liked it a lot, FreyjaVanir. Also, welcome to the Forums! :D

Breaking News! Eight Coins' Tattoo Tarot is now available on pre-order, and is due to be released next month, in February 2018. From the USG page:

This vividly illustrated deck follows the artistic development of tattoo artist and designer Lana Zellner. The 82-card deck includes all of her original tarot art plus four new cards painted specially for this edition. The cards feature art forms and iconic imagery from both tattoo and tarot traditions, all hand drawn and painted using the watercolor painting style of “spitshading.”

The 188-page book presents full-color, enlarged illustrations for each Eight Coins’ card, along with Lana’s descriptions and unique tarot insights.

Set includes:

• 82 cards

• 188-page full color book

• Eight Coins’ Tattoo Tarot Rose Spread

The cards measure 3” x 5”, while the box itself is 4.75” x 7”

Wow, this looks good !!

I have been looking for a deck with this style of tattoo artwork so I'm glad I stumbled onto this thread otherwise I would not have known about it

Oh, that is great news!!

The first edition is one of those decks I've regretted not finding out about until it was too late.

Curious to see (feel) what the cardstock will be like; USgames can go either way - horrible like the Joie de Vivre, or excellent like the Dreaming Way...

Interesting to see such a Thothy 8 of Wands in all those RWSsy images!
