Does any prefer something other than Celtic cross spreads for love readings

Posted (edited)

Yes. I would pretty much prefer any other spread than that for love readings, to be honest 😁 Mostly I design a spread that is specific to the context. But i know there are tons of pre-made love spreads out there!

here you go, scroll down to relationship readings:

I often use this one.

Me (one card).     Other person (one card)

    Current relationship (three cards)

Where this relationship is going (six cards)

Advice (three/six cards depending on the rest of the reading).

I usually use more cards for the future because usually there is already a pretty good idea of where the relationship is at at present and it is the future I’m most eager to know about. However if I am totally confused about where it is at presently I do use six cards for current relationship. I also don’t always pull advice cards if I have enough information already.

Over the last years I found myself using more and more a 14 cards spread for reading relationships.

I can't remember where I saw such a spread in the first place, I know I got the idea from somewhere and I made my own adjustments.

I'll post it in two messages because it's too long to fit in a single one.

Spread the cards clockwise from 1-10, across a circle:

  • Cards 1-5 on the right side, representing the querent.
  • Cards 6-10 on the left, representing the other.
  • Cards 11-14 in the "corners" outside the circle (the relationship)

1&6 = their "baggage", what each person brings into this relationship in terms of beliefs, past experiences and their current outlook on the present one

2&7 = their current trust level, openness /intimacy

3&8 = their fears and worries

4&9 = their expectations and desires

5&10 = a look into their future (regardless of the relationship)

11 = the "glue" connecting these two people

12 = where both their efforts are needed in order for it to work

13 = advice for further development of the relationship

14 = outlook on long-term commitment in this relationship

Thanks @Giana222! Let me know how it worked out for you, I hope it'll be as insightful as it was for most of my sitters.
