Flower Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Hello! I am curious about what your favourite kind of decks are? I collect different kinds but i feel like the standard tarot decks size is too big for me. I like the playing card size better. My most used deck is the original Raider Waite deck that comes in a tin (celestial edition). I have also seen round cards, heart shaped tarot decks, star-shaped and squares. The oracle cards are usually more square like (wider) but i don't use them so much so i dint have any opinions on those. Have you seen something else? Please tell! /F ❤️
Yola Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Oh @Flor, I get CRAZY with all the different decks! Just when I think all possible tarots have been made, a new one comes along that makes me euphoric! 🤸♀️ My dream of consumption at the moment is the Dream Vision Tarot which is so charming (but is sold out for sale 🙄)! I don't have many decks (I think I have 3 tarots and about 4 oracles) wich I use the most in readings is also the classical RWS. I used to only use one deck at a time and now I'm trying to use several at once, in a single read - and I'm LOVING it! I have also mixed tarot with oracles, and the result has been pretty cool! And you? How do you use your decks in each reading?
DanielJUK Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 What a great discussion @Flower. Like @Yola I think I like all the different shapes and sizes. Another member posted this in the past but this is a great resource of all the different standard card sizes, scroll down the page a little for the types..... https://www.makeplayingcards.com/printed-card-types.aspx Personally I love a large card, I want to see that art displayed as beautifully and large as possible. But they are a pain to shuffle as a downside I have a soft spot for the poker size cards, they are the ones you normally find in tins
