Firepage here to learn :)

Hey! Thought an introduction would be nice

I'm a 27 year old page (one day hopefully queen) from Sweden who's been reading cards for about two years. Just started feeling comfortable knowing each card without always looking things up, but I still have a long way to go before I'm confident in my interpretations. None of my friends read tarot which is why I desperately need this 🙂

I have a feeling this is a good environment for learning and helping eachother out!

Asc scorpio, sun in aries, lots of saggittarius placements including moon and a very soft pisces venus

You've come to the right place @firepage Welcome! 🙂

Lucky you starting young - keep at it. I did start young but was lost with no support so I gave it up for too many years before I started again.

Jump in and enjoy 🙂

Hi Firepage, welcome & trust your interpretations! 😄 I was given some great advice when starting off and that was to throw away the books as soon as possible.  Whilst it does seem a daunting prospect I learnt to trust my intuition and formed great relationships with most of my decks very quickly. I still have room and intrigue for others thoughts on card interpretations but to me the tarot feels like it should be a personal bond between you and your cards, there is no right or wrong, only what your cards say to you.

Hi @firepage , hej one of the few Swedish words I can remember. 😃:animated-smileys-signs-085: Glad you have found us here as you are making progress on your tarot journey 😀

We have monthly exchange circles where you exchange with another member. You can see the exchange areas when you reach 5 posts around the forum and they always open for sign ups in the first week of every month. They might just be what you are looking for :78496:

That sounds reasonable! ^^

I remember the first year of reading and how confusing it would be to connect certain cards to certain situations. But as you say, after a while I started making my own connections! But it sure takes a while!

Also.. I don't think I've ever seen a forum where introduction threads actually receive answers. So nice!!

Hi hi @firepage and welcome!

I have to say, the interesting thing I found was getting my own interpretation of a card so strongly, then looking in the LWB that came with the deck and going ‘… huh?’. I can’t think of an example right now though, but one that definitely had me going ‘… Yeeeah, I don’t get that from this card’. Made me start to trust myself more, and not to blindly trust what is written down 🙂

Welcome, @firepage I'm a staunch ISG member (a reading circle where we ONLY use the pictures and no prior knowledge of any kind) and it always amazes me how similar the results are to what it says in books when you look up the cards !

Welcome to you.

It's good to make friends in tarot.

My best friend online I made on tarot forum years ago.

I hope you find such a friend!.

And a great deck to read with.
