Lenormand 3 x 3 Spread

Hi fellow Lenormand readers

 

If I do a 3x3 readings, reading the corners 1 & 9 and 3 & 7 as the situation and then the inner core/diamond: 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 as what will happen. This is how we do it in the circle.

 

Then you have a general question like: how will the week go.

 

Is it possible that the situation is a different topic/subject then the inner core?

Like the situation is about a work situation but the what will happen is about something private?

 

Bit confused right now..... Glad for any input.

I am referring to a reading I did, you can also check the feedback. Am I overthinking?

I wonder if a question like “what will happen to me in X amount of time” doesn’t leave the door open for a reading about multiple situations. I know the structure of this version of the 3x3 applies limits — the corners are the boundaries and the center is what happens within them — but it still seems like there’s room for multiple topics. 
 

Edited to add: perhaps while the rider/heart situation is delayed/blocked, the center event happened?

I have given some thought to the 3x3 spread .. 

In the tarot we use it to expand the 3 card spread from 3, to 6 to 9.. 

 

In the lenormand the purpose is different in my somewhat fresh view as I haven't picked up the books in a while. 

The true purpose(in my view) of the 3x3 is learn how to read around a house in the lenormand spread. 

Which is different then a 9 line which is to show us how to read past a 3 card combo. 

This of course a still non traditional/universal take on it. 

 

But following the reasoning and how I remember the 3x3 explained in books.  The 5 card is the focus(the card you could pick before hand for the issue like the ring, or book).. the present. I mean you could read the 3 6 and 9 as the total future yet its energy would still be influenced by the 5 card being they are right near it.

 

The beauty of the 3x3 in lenormand suppose you pick the cross as example you can see some combos not house related,but Leta go of house idea and just a lenormand table without any houses. 

 

Course if what you using  from the circle works so be it eh!.

Edit, what I mean if it working keep using it.

Yes you are right using such a time frame without a general question means several things/events can happen.

That is a very interesting point of view! Thank you! In my opinion if the first card is the mountain, everything is sort of blocked.

Yes you are right, was watching some more Lenormand videos yesterday and one person said exactly this. A 3x3 is one box of a Grand Tableau.

Yes card #5 is the key topic/theme, totally agree!

Right, it would be different maybe in a way clearer if card #5 was pre-selected. Because in a GT if someone wants to know what is happening in their love life I would look for the heart and the 'box' around it.

It is working but with everything if one is only just a beginner, a lot of questions surface ... 🤪
