It's almost time for then next thread and while I have been reading with the XIII Tarot, I've been very lazy when it comes to posting. I did want to end out this week with a picture of my favorite card of the deck. I can't help thinking whenever I see it that if the High Priestess hooked up with the Tower this would be the result.

Me too...!

I've been really enjoying the Wildwood Tarot though!  It has so much depth that I think its gonna be featured in a lot more of my deck of the week picks.

Next week I'm going have a change of deck though as this one is so packed full of detail I'm beginning to find it a little overwhelming.  Not helped by how it doesn't sugarcoat anything - it just gets right into the heart of the matter, which is great, but I have to be prepared to hear that when I use this deck!

Here's a photo of my daily card drawings from the Arcanum deck.

It's been great to work with this deck, I love some of the images and though it seems soft and arty it has provided some interesting readings in all situations. It's not a diverse deck at all, all the images are of European people and all the couples are heterosexual. Some of the traditionally male figures do seem to be more femme or gender-ambiguous though, including some of the Pages. You can see an example of this in the figure in the Six of Pentacles which came out for me today.

A deck I'd be happy to recommend if you like your cards arty.
