HOLMES Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj2mhMggE7C/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY= https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1323185659/marseille-lenormand?ref=share_v4_lx I was scrolling through Instagram and saw it just posted, I hit translation and read further. As I thought to myself geez that a green deck I thought at first was just a Marseilles in small lenormand deck style. But as I went through the pictures it came clear it was lenormand done in a Marseille style. Like how the lenormand was done in waite style years ago Upon googling the title, this isn't the first time it was done, But imo this is a way better version I actually like this deck with the pips very clear.
coinilius Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 I ordered one of these just recently - it looks like a neat deck to own and look though, and the translation of imagery and style from Marseille to Lenormand seems to be done well.
coinilius Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 (edited) Sorry to double post, but my copy of this deck finally arrived - it only took a while because of Australian postage issues, nothing to do with the seller. Overall it doesn't seem like a bad deck, the imagery is pretty clean and doesn't have any clutter, with nothing really obscuring the main image and meaning, which is nice. Some parts of it are done really well, but there are other images where you can see how the creator had to make their own additions and don't quite match the Tarot de Marseille style. I think my favourite image in the deck is the Cloud card, which takes the clouds from the Judgement card and adds a face to it! Inserts are the typical small number and pip style, which is ok. It would be moving away from a proper Lenormand, but I cant help but wonder if the inserts being done as the traditional Tarot suits might have looked. Edited August 12, 2023 by coinilius
