EmpyreanKnight Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Surprisingly, for a deck that's about to be released by a major Tarot House like US Games, there's very scant information on this oracle. All I got is this write up: Imaginative images create a sumptuous world of charming surprises. It will also have 52 cards and a 44-page guidebook so it's most probably deck-only. This is the artwork used in the deck's box: https://ih0.redbubble.net/image.298586338.9889/flat,1000x1000,075,f.u3.jpg[/img] Her art looks like a cross between the Pagan Otherworlds and the Nicoletta Ceccoli. I've fallen in love with it!
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 1, 2018 Author Posted January 1, 2018 To see what I mean, check out her Society 6 store and her Blogspot. I wonder which of these pieces are going to be included in the oracle.
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 Finally, some updates on the Oracle of Mystical Moments! It's now available on pre-order, and is due to be released next month, in February 2018. I believe that I don't often come across such exquisite art so competently executed in oracle decks. But then again, my exposure to them has been quite limited until recently, but I digress. :) The aesthetic style is reminiscent of collaged oil paintings. Altho the deck images were created through digital collage-work, the end results are seamless.
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 From the USG site: Visionary collage artist Catrin Welz-Stein intermixes unexpected elements of nature and imagination, creating a sumptuous world where flower spirits and floating castles happily co-exist. Each of the 52 oracle cards captures a magical moment full of delightful surprises and vintage charm. Powerful messages in the 44-page guidebook lead you into discoveries of insight that inspire new ways of looking at life. Catrin Welz-Stein uses digital images to express her creativity and tell unique stories. Her artwork has an ethereal feel that explores the area between imagination and reality. Catrin is originally from Germany but has lived in Korea and Malaysia for several years with her husband and two children, thus there is also a subtle Asian influence in her work. The 52 cards measure 2.25" x 5" while the box itself is 3.25" x 5.5".
