Aliki Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I noticed Hay House stopped gilded decks after they got reprinted i don't know if they did that to all of their decks? Also did anyone noticed a difference in their decks in general on cardstock? I still adore the packaging thought and thick guidebooks just noticed a difference? Also as a bit boujee reader 😅 which publisher/s print gilded decks now? Idk i think it's like they're not as many now?
gregory Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I am delighted when anyone stops making cards with gilded edges. They stick the cards together and the stuff starts to flake off when the deck is used. The matte gilding is less annoying. Maybe the publishers have listened to the many of us who begged them to stop. A lot of kickstarter decks are still gilded as a GOOD thing (even though some of us ask for an option to have ungilded stock), and there are many printers who will do it if asked. Â I don't usually buy Hay House decks, but the stock they used to use was too thick, IMHO. Clunky and hard to shuffle.

It's a pain to keep them at a good condition indeed 😅 mattes faid way too later in my opinion or depends on use and maybe size if it's harder to shuffle idk i think they maybe made their card stocking a bit thinner from what I've heard and saw on some first impressions videos except if it's cause of the ungilded versions that they made them thinner I'm probably kinda late to noticed but i just found out about all these 😅 idk if it's also about quality or depends on how you shuffle i know a reader who has the expanded version of gilded reverie lenormand and the cards look brand new even though see uses them for clients and videos for so much time I'm still wondering how she manages to do that though 😅 i think i could never on the glossy gilded ones
