OMG at the large version! I just bookmarked it.

Thanks for the heads up, Bookworm.

This is a beautiful deck. I can imagine that those images work wonderfully in a larger size.

This is actually a better url -- you can see some of the cards: http://sarahwheatley.com/major-arcana-gallery/

OK. Just took a look at more high-res images and what can I say - je l'adore. So it's another bewitching Thoth-based Tarot deck I must add to the old, battered wish list. It never really ends, does it? :-\

Can anyone comment on the MPC cardstock? I don't have any decks from MPC to compare, and Asherah is one I read with often. I'm curious in case I ever get a backup.

I have the large from Gamecrafter (aka first ed. - still available), and it's cheaper than the large at Make Playing Cards. Same width, but 1/4" shorter than the MPC.

I know that the deck creator, who was originally happy with Gamecrafter, felt their quality had gone downhill. I got it early so couldn't say, but I like the cardstock; it feels thin an whippy, but good, flexible. The Gamecrafter box was a little flimsy for the price, I thought.

I just got this version. It looks beautiful. I think MPC card stock quality is fine. I like it more than the cardstock of the GameCrafter

how are the colors of the MPC edition vs the Gamecrafter edition? Are they as vibrant?

Delizt[/member] I gave in and ordered the poker MPC as a backup for my large Gamecrafter, so I could do a side by side once the MPC gets here, If you haven't already gotten an answer by then.

Delizt[/member] the MPC poker Asherah arrived. There's only a very slight difference, in that the MPC is a little lighter, which makes the darker cards a fraction more vibrant than my GC and the lighter cards just a touch less vibrant. If I didn't have one card held up over the other, I'm not sure I'd have noticed. If you like, I can scan a part of the cards so you can see the difference.

Cardstock seems alright. Similar to the GC, I think, but because the MPC poker is so much smaller, it feels less 'bendy'. The stack of GC cards is a few millimeters taller than the MPC.  I like the slightly 'waxier' feel of the GC better than the more 'papery' feel of the MPC, but both shuffle well.

I like having a poker size, but with a deck this detailed, if I could only have one it would be the large! (And personally, unless the cardstock has changed, I'd go for the GC large, which is $12 cheaper than the MPC large and includes a tuckbox.)

Rose Lalonde, thank you for the comparisons, I am leaning towards to GC edition, But the poker size seems so handy!! I appreciate your feedback on the tow versions:-))

@Delitz if it helps, here's part of the GC with MPC poker on top. (There's no border on the poker, of course; I added grey to make it clear where card ends. A bit of the sides of GC cut off in my scan too)

These are small differences, but this is not an inexpensive deck, so I'd want to see to pick the one that suited me best. (But I guess with print on demand, the colors can come out a little differently each time anyway?)
