I'm quite interested in studying Santa Muerte as a phenomenon, and I've considered reaching outside my religious lines to get this deck. But there seems to be two other decks that are Santa Muerte themed, is that correct? I've seen the Santa Muerte Tarot by Fabio Listrani, but there's another one by Berbera? https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/tarot-de-la-santa-muerte-berbera/1121315628

Also, can anyone identify this deck? https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=oBrlkLAh&id=DF6D63B0E164C5FB992D56C371CD0737A59F6AB2&thid=OIP.oBrlkLAhFa5ItsEX2TwBuQHaGi&mediaurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.fotothing.com%2fphotos%2f887%2f8873ef62278447c0e16dda556c29df6d_c36.jpg&exph=2696&expw=3052&q=santa+muerte+tarot&simid=607998437197808822&selectedIndex=11&ajaxhist=0

Can anyone describe their experiences with these decks?

Regarding the second deck, it seems to be named 22 Arcanos De La Muerte. It seems to have a companion book, as can be seen in the photo attachment.

So Tarot database has a link on the third deck, but I'm just wondering where I could find it. It's apparently published in Mexico by Ediciones S.M. It's called El Tarot de la Muerte. http://www.alchemywebsite.com/tarot/database/SouthAmerican/record2.html

I got my copy of the Santa Muertre tarot by LoS, but it was missing the Queen of Pentacles! It gave me two Knight of Pentacles cards! I emailed LoS, I hope they will replace the missing card. Other than that, the colors are quite vibrant. I'm not sure how I feel about the digital style, though.

I'd like to mention a side note about the Santa Muerte tarot.  I have a friend who is from Puerto Rico and as he thumbed through the deck, he mentioned some devout Spanish people might be offended by some of the images and details on the cards.  If you read for other people, I suggest to confer with them first and make sure they know what the deck is about.  I've used it three times on three Spanish people and I actually had good feedback but I did ask them first before I used the deck on them.

Emilija, on that other deck you queried, if there is a guidebook, it will be in Spanish. ;)

There's nothing culturally offensive about the deck. But in Mexican Catholic communities, there is a taboo about Santa Muerte in general. The Diocese have come out to condemn her devotees.

I don't think it'll be an issue, though. I don't plan on reading with the deck.

Yikes, you made me unseal my Santa Muerte and check if it has all the cards. Thankfully it's complete. Like you, there were some reviews in Amazon that said that they had an incomplete set, so LoS should really improve their QC.

I love the Santa Muerte a lot tho.

I got an email from LoS this morning, they are going to ship me the missing card and a new booklet. Whew! The deck just sold out on Barnes and Noble!

LoS is really responsive. I'm so glad to hear that, Emilija. :)

Make sure to check all your cards when your deck arrived.... the regular one I ordered from Amazon.ca had 2 Knights of Pentacles and is missing the Queen of Pentacles.  I just sent them an email to send me a Queen card.  This is the second time this week I have had to contact them about this same issue, as I discovered it also with the Tarot Mucha deck I purchased from them.  I have only ever purchased 2 decks from lo Scarabeo, and both of them had duplicate cards and a missing card.  I am not impressed.  Now I am concerned about the coffin deck I purchased. I wanted to keep that one sealed, but worried that that deck may have the same issue.  I clearly have no luck :(  The pleasure I had from it arriving is now drowned by anger and annoyance...

I received my copy and 3 of the cards were stuck together and even though I was very careful when separating them, they got ruined.  So disappointing.

Same here.  I wasn't going to open my coffin either!  I have the regular deck also and I have to be honest about this deck.  I'm not that impressed.  There are decks I dislike and I end up liking them after 1 or 2 years so I can't say it won't grow on me but as of now, I just am not that excited about it.  Most of the cards are beautiful individually but looking at them in a spread is skeleton overkill for me.  I love the Moon card.  The  Tower is cool.  I don't understand the 5 of cups.  I guess it's the perfect deck for Halloween.  We'll see what I think in a year or 2.

Maybe you could use it for single card readings or very small spreads .... it could be your small spread specialty deck  :)

Opening a Limited Edition box and unsealing the cards would definitely lower its resale value.

If it's going to be for personal use only and you are not planning to sell it in the future, I don't see why you shouldn't do it. However, you did say that you have the regular box, right? I was thinking that you should just leave the Limited be. Once you do open it and it has problems, you can just either contact LoS for replacement cards or use the cards from your regular box as a substitute. Just a thought.

Hate resurrect a zombie thread, but I received the Santa Muertre deck last month, and it looks like the QC issues mentioned have been handled - it's a great deck. I find I'm not really connecting with it for reading, but it's amazing to look at. Maybe I need to spend more time with it to connect, but I'm enjoying my Tarotbot deck more these days. Just an FYI and the LoS QC stuff.

You are always welcome to resurrect old threads here @Pierre and carry on the discussion. We have no zombie thread rules in this community and it's fine 😊

I have the Santa Muerte tarot from Lo Scarabeo and I love it. The images are so vibrant and I can usually draw a lot to interpret from them. The booklet it came with was a bit confusing and didn't match with what I usually felt from the cards so I generally don't use it.

I got the oracle deck as well to use with it, but I don't like it as much. The cards don't have the names printed on them and the images are usually very abstract which is not something I connect with.
