Trouble making a post

Featured Replies

I"m a new member and am trying to post a new topic in the forum. I see a lot of postings that are long but it's only allowing me to have a post that's a couple lines long. But I see several postings on this site that are much longer. Is it because I"m a new member? If so, when will I be allowed to post something longer? Also, some discussion topic areas, such as Tarot Talk & Technique are greyed out so I can't select them. Am I limited to topics as a new member?

Welcome to the community @chloe :animated-smileys-signs-085:

There are some restrictions until you get to 5 posts. A max word limit and some areas restricted. It lifts at 5 posts. Sadly posting in this area doesn't add to your count.

The readings and exchanges areas are locked till then and some areas are read only. Tarot Talk should be open to you though, have you gone into the section?

I recommend starting a thread in the introductions area and reply to a few people there and then you are free to use the forum fully 😀

Hi DanielJUK. Thanks! This is very helpful! I tried to quote your message but that put me over the word limit. 🙂

Actually, just now I tried to create a new thread in the Introductions section, and as soon as I type a single word in my post, it shows that I'm over the word limit and won't let me submit. Is it because I've already posted once today? I obviously need to include a single word in my post. Not sure what I"m doing wrong now. But I can comment in this thread at least.

There is a minimum word limit as well because people were posting one word or an emoji as a post. I think maybe that has caught you? I think you have to type between 10 and 100 words if I remember 😀

No, it's not allowing me to type a full sentence either. I wish I could post a screenshot. I can include a gif but can't seem to post an image except from a url.

I signed out and signed in on another computer and this time it worked. Thanks!

That is so weird @chloe but glad you managed to solve it and post in the end 🙂

I haven't heard of this problem with other members before. What was the browser / system where you had the problem? I will make a note of it.
