Deshy Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 It's me. ☺️ I have the Rider Tarot Deck Arthur Edward Waite I was just wondering whether this is the right beginner choice. I'm totally new.
DanielJUK Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 I've moved this thread to the Tarot Decks section as it was in an old dead section of the forum before 🙂 Also I slightly edited your title, so we all know what the thread is talking about. I think it's the perfect deck for starting out with, there is a lot of literature and guides online for that deck, so it has the most resources. It's a tarot classic and you can't go wrong having one in your collection! Some people don't get on with it or like the artwork (this can happen to any deck). So if you struggle with it, another deck that you feel drawn to might fit better. It's a good idea to try with this one and you can buy other decks in future.
Bodhiseed Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Hi Deshy, welcome to the forum! I bought several tarots for their beauty when I first started using tarot, but the RWS is what helped me build a framework of meanings that allowed for intuitive insight as well. And as DanielJUK said, there's a wealth of online resources for this deck. I think one of the first ones I came across many years ago was http://learntarot.com/.
