Teemu Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Hi, the suits are assigned to the elements by the creators. It is (just as a reminder) Arrows - Air Bows - Fire Vessels - Water Stones - Earth The court cards, however, are not assigned. Traditionally with many Tarot decks, it would be Kings - Fire Queens - Water Knights - Air Pages - Earth With Wildwood Tarot, I think it is different. A more suitable assignment seems to be: Kings - Earth Queens - Water Knights - Fire Pages - Air The alternate assignment yields: Kingfisher - King of Arrows: Earth of Air (instead of Fire of Air) Swan - Queen of Arrows: Water of Air Hawk - Knight of Arrows: Fire of Air (instead of Air of Air) Wren - Page of Arrows: Air of Air (instead of Earth of Air) Adder- King of Bows: Earth of Fire (instead of Fire of Fire) Hare - Queen of Bows: Water of Fire Fox - Knight of Bows: Fire of Fire (instead of Air of Fire) Stoat - Page of Bows: Air of Fire (instead of Earth of Fire) Heron - King of Vessels: Earth of Water (instead of Fire of Water) Salmon - Queen of Vessels: Water of Water Eel - Knight of Vessels: Fire of Water (instead of Air of Water) Otter - Page of Vessels: Air of Water (instead of Earth of Water) Wolf - King of Stones: Earth of Earth (instead of Fire of Earth) Bear - Queen of Stones: Water of Earth Horse - Knight of Stones: Fire of Earth (instead of Air of Earth) Lynx - Page of Stones: Air of Earth (instead of Earth of Earth) This way, the archetypal animals fit much better IMHO, but what do you think?
