Saturn return spreads

Just had my solar return and I think my Saturn return is going on for a little bit longer (not quite sure the dates on Saturn.) I was looking for a good spread with emphasis on things that Saturn might change

Posted

I had a search for spreads for this sort of thing and found nothing. I think the problem is mixing systems. Use astrology with astrology, if you want to know, why not check on an online site or app, or buy a reading from a professional? If you want to get more astrological insight, if you have access to your chart or use astro or whatever, have a look at what house Saturn is in. This will tell you all you need to know.

About tarot, it's a totally different system. But if you need to, why not make your own spread?

I found this spread about lessons from our old tarot site-

https://www.tarotforum.net/threads/lesson-spread.44168/

Change it to Lessons from Saturn and just take the positions you want from it, you can make it smaller if you want.

Thank you for looking! I really like the questions in the spread you found and I think 7 cards will be a challenge but I'm up for it 💪

I think I've got some astrological study to do. I would love to get a reading rn but the celebrations have be being a little frugal now. Do you think it would be more helpful to look at my natal Saturn or where its at in my solar return chart?

The birth chart is always more important, this is the map of your life at birth. The solar return chart is just a birthday type reading of the sun in the year ahead.

About the Saturn Return, this happens around 28 years old for the first time (it can be some years before or after), then around 58 and then 88 (give or take the years around those). Saturn takes 29.5 years to go around the sun.

The first return is said to be the most difficult time. Each Saturn return matures you in some way but the first is the change to be a mature adult. Like maybe someone is getting married or settling down with a family or taking a high position at work. It can be positive, getting married, buying a first house, having kids. It's something "adult" and you have to mature. But it can also be negative and forces maturity in various ways. It's a coming of age.

There are a lot of stories about it online and from celebs but I have to say I didn't study astrology then and looking back on it, I don't remember anything happening at all 😆. Mine was not memorable at all.

I'm not keen on the modern idea that some transits are scary, like not sure why it helps anyone for people to live in fear. I think the thing these transits do is prepare you for the next stage of life. Astrology has a lot of major point in our life transits. I am starting to get a lot of transits which are like "mid life crisis" stage which is depressing 🙂 . Saturn will transit to a personal planet in our chart, every 7 years. So it's nothing to be scared of, there are constant things going on. Everything is meant to help you in the end, Saturn returns clear out what no longer serves you.

If you know your birth time, this is a great Saturn return calculator with the detail it gives you - https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/saturn-return-astrology-calculator

At the top, it will tell you what sign Saturn will be in. I presume you have natal Saturn in Pisces, it's in an early degree of the sign. it moved into Pisces in March this year. When you know the sign it will be in, you can search google for Saturn return in "this sign", to get a reading info. Also if you do a chart (you can create your whole chart on astro.com as a guest for free, you just need to make an account to save it and you need your birth time), look what house Saturn is in. This also tells you about it. Saturn is the glyph which looks like a fancy "h" sign =  (it's actually the Greek letters together for the letter Kappa with an abbreviation, representing the Greek name Kronos and a cross across the vertical line from a Christianisation of the symbols in centuries past).

If you don't know your birth time, you need this Saturn return calculator, which has less detail - https://www.astrocal.co.uk/saturn-return-calculator/

These dates are approx, based on the ages. So it's not exact like the earlier calculator.

Saturn Returns last 2 to 3 years, Saturn is very slow and will go back and forth several times, it spends 4 months of the year retrograding. Also it gets easier. The first time it's exact, in the first return is likely the worst, as you go through the first Saturn return you get used to it in a way. You should end up in a better mature place in life by the end 🙂

I'm so sorry those transits have you feeling it. I've really been feeling it the last few years, that makes a lot of sense to realize it's been going on for so long. I'm a really really different person than I was a few years ago, and very glad for it :-)
