Shuffling or letting cards jump?

I haven’t perfected this yet. I usually ask a question and shuffle and let cards jump. I’ve watched my psychic shuffle and split the cards and just keep taking them off the top. 
 

what is the correct method. Or which method would you say works best? I don’t use tarot cards I use regular playing cards.

It is all about intention in my opinion. If you want to just use jumpers and make it clear before you start shuffling, I think that is fine. I do not use jumpers especially if I know it was from sloppy handling the cards. Very rarely I would look at jumpers.
