Wyrdkiss Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I started with a Celtic Cross focus, which was far too much for a new student. Over time I've somewhat fallen out of love with that spread, or at least, have evolved to need many others as a foundation. I still use / refer to it on occasion, but I cannot remember the last time I used the CC for a paying client. For myself a do a daily draw, a 3 card spread several times a week I'd say, and larger about monthly. I really like the 3 card options.
Siri5 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) I started with 3-card spreads with named positions, and from there moved into longer, bigger spreads for a while. I tried some of the really large spreads with over 30 cards and for a while my favourite spread was the Celtic cross, which I found produced really detailed and nuanced readings. That said, the longer I read the more minimalist I seem to become. These days I mainly read with three cards with no assigned positions. I find that it provides more clarity, without all the noise you get with larger spreads. I consider the base of the deck and the quint, though not always, and only as underlying energies, and I draw no clarifiers. Edited March 26 by Siri5
Lovebird Posted April 2 Posted April 2 For the most part I like 5 cards spreads, but depending on the topic I sometimes read with larger spreads
