Welhelmina
Hi , I recently bought the old Arabian Lenormand. It contains extra cards. One of them is a zero with a picture of spices. What does this mean? I thought there was only 36 cards.
Raggydoll
Is there no guidebook or booklet? Since it’s not a traditional deck, then you’re best off with studying whatever the creator has written about the deck. Surely there is an explanation somewhere. Best of luck! 🙂
DanielJUK
I've moved this thread to the main Lenormand section as we are discussing a deck This deck was one of the decks by British artist Neil Lovell of Malpertuis Designs, who passed away suddenly in August 2018. His brother Joe posted about it on FB on their business page and had a huge response. He sorted out all the business affairs and many people were still waiting for ordered decks. He organised it all and still provides the decks for purchase from the old brand website. Neil also made the Tyldwick Tarot. With the Old Arabian Lenormand, you were supposed to get a digital link pdf book which was a link with the deck but in the situation that happened many didn't. The official site provides the deck book for a small admin fee, it's a digital download if you don't have it - https://www.malpertuis.co/store/old-arabian-lwb They do this for all of Neil's old decks and one of the rare instances there is a legitimate digital pdf for a deck and no books. About this deck, it has the regular Lenormand 36 cards and alternative man and woman card. Each deck had a "wild card" thrown in, according to the info for it. I wonder if this is the wild card and would it even be in the pdf? I don't know! I would leave it out if you don't know what to to with it, stick to the regular 36 cards, especially for learning it.
