Tom Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 (edited) Pixiekins: A Daily Inspiration Deck https://a.co/d/gfM6GSB I purchased this cute deck to get some daily inspirations to brighten my day. I didn't know how to categorize it, at first but now I know it's definitely an Oracle. It's a 72 card deck and I have been getting messages to lighten up. The more I use it the more it is resonating with me. It's not random, I've been asking my higher power guides to give me a card to brighten my day. I pulled Nyx on Wednesday by just hovering my hand over the cards and pulling the one that seemed to draw my attention to. Today I told the cards I was going to select by cutting the cards tarot style and Nyx came up again. So I take it that I'm supposed to pay special attention too it. I tend to be too serious and I need to be more optimistic. Although I'm an extrovert, I've been getting other messages to be more outgoing. I guess I need to make an effort to be myself in spite the negative people I with. I need more laughter in life. Edited February 2, 2024 by Tom Additional thought.
DanielJUK Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 I've moved this to the Oracles section where it fits better 🙂
Tom Posted February 2, 2024 Author Posted February 2, 2024 @DanielJUK thanks for your help. There are so many choices In not always sure what guys where best.
DanielJUK Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 It's worth remembering that we have different deck categories, whilst all card systems are both cartomancy and oracles, they are specific in our forum to have different sections of discussion. Tarot - everything tarot there Cartomancy - are specific decks, tending to be European historical card systems and folk decks. Lenormand has it's own section but this area is about Kippers, Sibilla and European traditions. Kippers and Playing Cards have their own subsections there. Oracles - is every other deck. They have their own system or no system but don't follow tarot structure or traditional European card structures.
Tom Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 @DanielJUK I guess the problem I was that I didn't think it was an Oracle Deck of just a random positive message everyday. Then it started to behave in a way that the cards were being manipulated. I've never loved through the entire deck, I wanted to be surprised. So I then decided because of the reasons I mentioned that it was acting like an an Oracle so that's what it actually was. So you're right I should have it it under Oracles to start off with. I guess my taste in cards is unconventional, people don't seen much interested my posts about them.
sitara-stormcloud Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 I love Paulina Cassidy, or Paulina Fey as she styles herself now. Pixiekins is lovely and yes - unconventional! She is tough to classify in one word. Quirky, sure. Whimsical, sure. But there is also this delightfully gritty side to some of her characters, so you laugh, but also have the slightest sense of not wanting to meet the card character in a dark alley... And then there is Chester.....
