shadowcatto Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Hello!! Some context first: I've been learning tarot for a year and while I have some sort of grasp of the basic card meanings, I have difficulty reading reversals confidently. For now, I've been leaning towards it meaning that the energy of the card is present but not complete or realised fully, instead of being the 'negative' meaning of the card, but I'm not 100% sure if this approach works for me yet. I've been doing ad hoc one card pulls for the day, only twice this week and both times were the ace of swords reversed. Surely my cards are trying to tell me something but I don't know what it is! I thought it could refer to the need to think and communicate more clearly, examine the facts in any problems faced, or that the lack of clear information or judgement on some matters. The Biddy Tarot interpretation is interesting as well: The Ace of Swords reversed indicates that a new idea or breakthrough is emerging from within you, but you are not willing to share it with others just yet. You may still be exploring what this idea means for you and how to best express and manifest it in the external world. Anyway, just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on what this card means to you. 😀
November Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Hello, I think you're doing well, drawing one card daily will help you in learning meanings. Of course this will take time, sometimes you may feel discouraged, because you may not understand the card you get. It's part of the "game". Going back to your Ace of Swords reversed, what you already suggested can fit with this card's meanings to me. Probably it's about you still having too little knowledge about tarots in general, thus the card may be encouraging you to keep on learning. Or maybe it's about your cards finding it difficult for now to be understood by you.
shadowcatto Posted April 15, 2024 Author Posted April 15, 2024 Hello @November, sorry this reply is so late, I got very busy then sick a few times, but I wanted to thank you for replying to my post. Still mulling over these meanings, think 'pursuit of clarity' is one of the key meanings for me here. 👍
