Flegetanis Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 There are a number of very good Thelemic Tarots which have come out in recent years -- perhaps from the turn of the century, which would be appropriate. One deck that is popular and already well covered in the TT&M forums is M.Meleen's Tabula Mundi Tarot, as well as her previous effort the Rosetta Tarot. To what extent the Pharos Tarot is Thelemic, I do not know. However there are also the Via Tarot, Lon DuQuette's Tarot of Ceremonial Magick, the Liber T Tarot, and others. Many old (e.g., the Gareth Knight Tarot, later Golden Dawn decks) and new (e.g., the Dark Sun Tarot, the H. P. Lovecraft Tarot) Tarots incorporate Thelemic or other symbolic elements described by Crowley in The Book of Thoth. I would like to discuss these in relationship to various topics, from the possible difficulties of translating that symbolism for the purposes of readings to discussing the developing archetypes of the New Aeon.
alethian Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 I have a Lon DuQuette's Tarot of Ceremonial Magick Deck. It has lots of details and symbolism (Astrology, Cabalah, Goetia and even Enochians too) in each card, and reads well for me. Astrological and Hebrew letter on each card even with the decans and dates are very handy and helpful in the readings, but I don't use the Enchian and Goetia symbolism in the deck yet. The ToCM deck is a great deck to use together with Thoth Deck.
