2. The Queens are holding a book club. Which book does each of them suggest reading?

Queen of Wands motivation books, books about positive thinking and 50 shades of grey.

Queen of Cups romance books and a book about psychology.

Queen of Swords she loves the more heavy books like a thriller, a biography or something about history.

Queen of Pentacles a cookbook or a organizing book.

Queen of Swords suggests "Law for Dummies" by whoever wrote the version relevant to your country

Queen of Pentacles suggests "What Not to Spend" by Alvin Hall (a little outdated now as it was written pre-2008 but still has good principles)

For self-help/spiritual development:

Queen of Wands - Warrior Goddess Training

Queen of Cups - Women Who Love Too Much

Queen of Swords - Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World

Queen of Pentacles - Love is in the Earth - Guide to Crystals

Queen of Swords would bring a thriller, like The Girl on the Train.

Queen of Wands would bring a book full of drama but was still witty and fun to read, like Little Big Lies.

Queen of Cups... Probably Eat Pray Love.

Queen of Pentacles... A memior by a female CEO, perhaps? Cheryl Sandburg’s Lean In would work.

Queen of Wands - The southern vampire mysteries, Sookie Stackhouse / True Blood books - sex and vampires what else...

Queen of Swords - Game of Thrones - something with strategic game playing she's Team Lannister of course

Queen of Cups - The Waves by Virginia Woolf - a stream of consciousness

Queen of Pentacles - Pride and Prejudice -  a little old fashioned and full of love and money

Queen of Wands - self-improvement e.g. something for multi-tasking mothers e.g. "How to get the most out of the hours in your day at work and at home while you play housekeeper, chauffeur, counsellor, educator, gardener, lover, cook, and healer." Also something in the quest genre - The Scarlet Pimpernel, and perhaps Going Postal by Terry Pratchett for a bit of fun. :)

Queen of Cups - romance genre - The Time Traveller's Wife comes to mind; Buddhism for Mothers (to cope with the overwhelm she knows is a part of the picture)

Queen of Swords - Agatha Christie; Arthur Conan Doyle; G.K. Chesterton; something where she can use her powers of deduction.

Queen of Pentacles - Cookery books, diy furnishings, jewellery making, gardening magazines, interior design, etc. :)

Queen of Wands:  Frenchman's Creek by Daphne du Maurier - because she's a strong woman with a taste for adventure who still believes in true love and passion, even when life is going to get in the way.

Queen of Cups: Persuasion by Jane Austen - or maybe Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden - because a woman with too much water in her personality has to learn how to be true to herself before she gets washed away by the tide of other people's emotions and ambitions.

Queen of Swords:  Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray - because a girl has to be both sharp and ruthless if she's going to get ahead.

Queen of Pentacles:  The Palliser Chronicles by Anthony Trollope - money, politics, family, marriage and career - what more could you ask for?

Hello guys,

my 2 cents :)

queen of wands - she loves adventurous literature, her favourite book serie is about israeli spy Gabriel Allon from Daniel Silva (I personally strongly recommend this whole serie)

queen of swords - she does not have a time to read novels, she likes to improve her brain abilities, so she reads news from mathematic, new ways how to calculate messy math problem or how to build her own rocket, maybe she will need it one day.

queen of cups - she of course loves to read romantic literature, her favourite book is Jane Eyre. By the way, she loves to visit libraries, because she can be in touch with new people, make friends with them and be part of reading community.

queen of pentacles  - despie of the fact tht she is grown lady, her favourite book is The Jungle book. She can be in touch with her beloved nature and animals, imagine that is the part of the book but she is in safety of her house and she does not need to be so involved in so many adventures.

I love this question, although my answers were definitely not what I thought they were going to be when I started and thought about things more!

Queen of Swords - Middlemarch by George Eliot

This book is a study of provincial life in England, set within a fictional village.  Although it has a storyline, I think the Queen of Swords likes it for its intellectual value in helping you to understand what life was like when it was written.  I think she also likes the very nature of the classic books with their turn of phasing that I find really hard to understand sometimes!

Queen of Wands - The Lord of The Rings by JRR Tolkein

A book of fantasy and adventure with a bit of love and warmth thrown in too.  She probably identifies with some of the female characters too - I can imagine her as  Eowyn, sensual and feminine yet full of impulse and adventure!

Queen of Cups - The Winds of War by Herman Wouk (and its sequel, War and Remembrance)

This might seem a strange choice for this Queen, however, hidden amongst all the talk of the war and such is a beautiful love story that I've never forgotten since I first borrowed the books off my mum when I was a teenager.  This Queen loves this book because of that love story and she is easily able to connect with all the characters in these books.

Queen of Pentacles - A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

A book about the folly of wanting too much material gain and not helping those more in need.  This Queen wants us to understand its lesson and use our material possessions and our finances wisely!
