Tarot decks you would never get rid of

I am being very generous here, I am not asking for i.e. only 3 decks, which are the 15 decks that you would never get rid of no matter what (as of now). It gives an indication about who which decks cherishes the most, which kind of decks you prefer.

So I am starting it (in no particular order);

Jolanda tarot

Crimson Asteria

Ingesrid Blakstad's

Marcel Ruijters

Daniloff

Mibramig

Enchanted Forhaxa

Tiger

Terracotta

Archeon

El goliath

Prague

Deviant Moon

Mansions of the Moon

An RWS

(or Rider-Marseille deck)

Hm. Quite weird list, eh?

I feel so many of my decks are crying out at me why did I left them out 🙂

I have a "In emergency, grab these ones" shelf in my collection cupboard where my favourites live - although there is a bit of movement sometimes. Let me go see what's on there now (it's probably more than 15 thought)  . . . .

This intrigues me. I don’t know that I’ve thought about it before, but now I want to. 😊

I've definitely thought about what do I grab if there's a fire!  I haven't thought of the top 13, though.  I have two hand/custom made decks that are very valuable to me.

I appreciate your generosity 😉

Actually this is a helpful question. I'm quite happy with my collection of 78 [tarots plus lenormands and oracles] ... but in future it might go down to 36 or even 15. I'll list Tarots only, since that's the question.

  1. Raditant Wise Spirit {RWS]
  2. RWS centennial in a tin
  3. Ciro Marchetti Legacy of the Divine
  4. Divine Deco
  5. Daniloff's Orient
  6. Golden Wheel
  7. Bologna from the Tarot Museum
  8. Vacchetta from Il Meneghello
  9. Valenza's Eduardo Dotti
  10. La Corte from Il Meneghello
  11. Roy Nisanka from Grimaud
  12. Keymaster
  13. Rose from Nigel Jackson
  14. Arlecchino
  15. Visconti Sforza

Ouch. That hurt. Good thing I don't have to downsize just now! Of the full 78 deck collection, 58 are Tarots. I could prolly sacrifice about 8 of these without too much pain. But the others would be like pulling teeth. I'm grateful I have the space even in my small cottage.

ooh, this is a tough one.

Ancient Egyptian Tarot -- my one and only deck for many years, and one I cherish

Spacious Tarot -- my favorite RWS style deck

Rosetta Tarot, Tabula Mundi Tarot, Thoth Tarot -- my core group these days

Spirit Keepers Tarot -- because I haven't even started working with this one yet and it would be a shame to lose the chance

A tough one indeed, and answers are subject to change. There are decks in my eBay pile that I would never have contemplated parting with a few years ago.

But I don't think I'd ever let go of the Fey Tarot, the Cosmic Tribe, or Dreaming Way.

And I'll always have a RWS, but I'm not absolutely stuck on any particular one at the moment.

At this moment in time, I don't want to get rid of any of my decks. I cherish them all for different reasons 🙂

I couldn't make that choice!

I definitely will never get rid of a huge majority of my decks, so 15 slots just ain't enough.

In any case, some of my keepers are: Sol Invictus: The God, Sola Busca, Vampire, Didactic, Minchiate, Pagan Otherworlds, etc.

I have too many I wouldn't get rid of. 2959 of them, to be precise.

I wouldn't want to get rid of any, actually, or maybe a few (can't think of those right now), but the ones I would definitely keep are these:

Stairs of Gold

Morgan Greer

Hanson-Roberts

Robin Wood

Arcus Arcanum

Prairie

Cat's Eye

Pagan Cats

Arthurian (Hallowquest)

Legend Arthurian

Victorian Fairy

Grail

Halloween

RWS Centennial

That's only 14 because I'd really have to throw a dart to decide on the last one: Housewives, Wonderland, Old Path, Dore Bible, Ancient Italian, Knapp-Hall, Anna K, you get the idea.
