Misterei Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Modern Lenormad its in vogue to include extra lord and lady cards ... and some decks have a non-binary person card. Ellada deck by Daniloff ... I just read it for the first time and was surprised to discover it has a different take on the extra cards. It has a masculine and feminine #28 Lord It has a feminine and masculine #29 Lady They're not exactly non-binary ... but I thought it was an interesting take. The gender-bending cards are both musicians.
Laura Borealis Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 I watched a review of this and was very impressed by how well he represented all the Lenormand design elements in ancient Greek art style. And I do love the gender swapped people cards. If I were a Lenormand reader I'd snap it right up. I think it's an edition of only 500.
Misterei Posted April 24, 2024 Author Posted April 24, 2024 @Laura Borealis I'm discovering it reads very well for me. Ironically I bought it to get free shipping on a Tarot deck and b/c I'm Greek ... the fact that it reads so well is a bonus!
coinilius Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 That is a nice looking deck, and I like the idea of playing with gender roles in the extra cards more. I made a deck for my own use recently and, even though I don't use them myself, included extra Man and Woman cards. Instead of using the same card associations but reversed, as many decks do, I made the extra Man and Woman card associated with Joker cards and used a male Joker with the Woman card and a Female Joker with the Male card.
