VGimlet Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 This coming week I'm going retro and reading with my borderless RWS deck. I don't normally do a DOTW for just one week with a deck I'm so familiar with, but I want to give it a spin.
Page of Ghosts Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 It's the Medieval Cats this week for me! I absolutely loved the Paulina so I might use it a little as well. Page of Ghosts - Medieval Cats Tarot & Paulina Tarot
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I'm going to open and dedicate a Marseille in order to prepare for dancing_moon's Historical Decks Reading Circle. So this week, it's: EmpyreanKnight - Madenié Tarot de Marseille by Packard
Lantana Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Hmmm... I’m torn. I want to keep using the Delta Enduring since I just got it, but I’ve been feeling called toward the Fountain Tarot these past few days... I suppose I can always come back to the Delta next week. :P EDIT: Ah, nevermind, I want both! Lantana - Fountain Tarot and Delta Enduring Tarot
Flaxen Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Hello, I'd like to join in please - I've got lots of decks I haven't worked with for ages. This week I'll be using the Fairy Lights tarot. Flaxen - Fairy Lights
jema Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Hi flaxen! That is a nice deck. oh and EmpyreanKnight I got that deck too but never used it so will be fun to see what you think of it. It's very big! I made my list first week this year and randomized it and this week it is Sheridan-Douglas. My Favorite!!! jema - Sheridan-Douglas
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 oh and EmpyreanKnight I got that deck too but never used it so will be fun to see what you think of it. It's very big! IKR? I think that they're the biggest among the decks that I currently have. I have big hands so I think I can handle it lol. :D
Flaxen Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Love the Sheridan-Douglas, Jema! Such a beautiful deck.
Bodhiseed Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Tarot of the Crone paired with Transforming Dragons for me. Thank you VGimlet!
Madame Squee Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I'm anticipating the arrival of the Tarot Grand Luxe on Monday. I wasn't going to order it, because I already have Tarot of Dreams and Legacy of the Divine. They are first editions and have always seemed like enough for me. However, I watched a flip-through (aka "that's how they get ya") of the Grand Luxe and realized immediately that I liked it -- A LOT! For one thing, there is ethnic diversity, which I love to see. (I would like a much higher percentage, but this is a start.) Plus, I can't find a better word than GORGEOUS to describe the images. And finally, the faces and expressions are so beautifully, hauntingly, rendered. (The 4 of Cups might be first amongst my many favorites.) (If you watch, turn up the volume after the intro as the accompanying music matches the beauty of the cards.) Madame Squee - Legacy of the Divine, Tarot Grand Luxe, and Malpertuis Lenormand. Thank you for the thread, VG! :-*
Chiska Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 I gotta select something! Let's see...hmmmmm....Zombies? Yes! Zombies! Chiska ~ Zombie Tarot
GreenFaerie Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 I am once again hopelessly mired in a new semester, but I am going to try and do some deck work this week. Victorian Fairy Tarot please, VG. Thank you!
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 hey Flaxen nice to "see" you! What a great lot of decks this week, wish we were together and could walk around and look up close.
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 hey Flaxen nice to "see" you! What a great lot of decks this week, wish we were together and could walk around and look up close. I've daydreamed of how sweet it would be if by an unseen hand, all of those who signed up for the DotW would magically appear in a candle-lit Victorian room, seated on a cozy table with lots of food and drinks, holding nothing but the very decks they signed up with. It must be nice admiring a deck someone has that you've always wanted, or gaping at the beauty of a deck that you have never encountered before, or taking instructions from someone who altered her decks magnificently, or marvelling at the boxes or perfumed cloths or what-have-you that they were wrapped in. :D
Flaxen Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 hey Flaxen nice to "see" you! Good to 'see' you too. :) I had quite a long break from regular tarot readings after my daughter was born. Was just getting back into a more regular practice again when AT closed its doors. Can't wait to work through my decks again - some of them haven't see the light of day for a very long time!

CharlotteK Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Thoth is staying out as a long term DoTW BUT... I am going to pair this with Anima Mundi this week. Charlotte K - Anima Mundi & Thoth Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Thoth is staying out as a long term DoTW Same really. I don't actively use it unless I have to, but I'm always reading about it, along with the Barbara Walker.

Whisper Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 I'd like to continue with my Journey into Egypt Tarot, please. :D
Saturn Celeste Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 I'd like to continue with my Journey into Egypt Tarot, please. :D Good, it's a gorgeous deck! ;D
Lantana Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 So for my double decker week, I’ve been using Delta for daily draws and Fountain for bigger spreads. I forgot just how soothing the Fountain was... It’s one of my brutally honest decks but it doesn’t deliver it like a gut punch, but certainly doesn’t sugar coat anything either. The cooling eye drops of decks, if you will.
