I stumbled across this forum after searching for which spread to use to get messages from spirits. 
My names is Lucy , I have had psychic experiences at times in my life which ranged from a dream predicting a death with came  true 2 years later.

I have also experienced sounds, taste's, smells , feelings and voices and images in my minds eye. 
I feel very privileged & a huge peace to have had all of these experiences. 
sadly it seems like it’s all vanished and I would like to try and find a way to connect back to it .

We do have discussions on psychic reading methods and the channeling of spirits, and you can always start a new thread if you can’t find what you’re looking for. I definitely think that your gift is just being dormant for some reason and that you should be able to connect again. You might want to do a reading to try and find out what happened and what you would benefit from doing next 🙂

I have found the more I use my intuition, the more it deepens, but if I use it less, it also reacts to that and gets weaker 😮 . Definitely using divination more, increases it for me

Funny thing happened after I had been enjoying my way around here and having a try at some tarot spreads.

heard my name called out loud once female voice . I used to get this a lot as a child around primary age I have a few distinct memories of female calling my name once . I feel as though someone is trying to get my attention and it’s important but I have no idea how to find out who , why or what it’s for ? 
has anyone else ever experienced this?

Welcome Lucy! I do not know why your abilities would go dormant but I have heard of psychics saying this can happen, it can be quite natural I’ve heard. Wish I could help more

Yes I have had that happen. Once I was able to identify the individual as a female ancestor. After hearing her voice, I later saw glimpses of her in the woods near where I was staying. At the time, I did not know that she had lived in the neighboring house. I had recognized her from family photos and then my sister (who has done way more family research) told me that it made sense because she had actually lived very close by and would have been walking in those woods a lot. 
 

If I were you, I’d set the intention to find out more. Depending on what types of divination you do, maybe do a card reading or a psychic session about this topic. You could also ask to be given more information or to be shown more clearly what is going on. Maybe the experiences will grow stronger that way. However, I do think you should take into account that this might not be an ancestor or a guide but rather a lingering spirit. It may or may not be someone you’ll want to be in contact with. It is always good to learn some basics of mediumship work, so you are able to lay boundaries in case it turns out to be something undesirable.

Thank you for sharing it’s great to hear your experience on this topic and how you began to try and work out who called your name and why.  I was doing a lot of thinking about my whole life and all the things I could have done to help it be better after all the pain. I see all the ways I made it worse although at the time I may not have understood or realised. 
I was doing a lot of soul searching and asking for guidance, answers  ,that’s when I heard my name . 
At first I was worried it felt urgent

wasn’t sure if it was  warning of someone’s death or about  myself . 
it made me jump like I am doing something wrong . I Felt like enough now find a way to stop the past continual destructive cycle in my life and children’s 

sadly I have one of this families no one talks to each other so I can’t enquire about relatives.
