fire cat pickles Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Williams Minchiate Hope: "offers her aid to the downtrodden and demoralized. Whatever may be happening at the present moment, we can look skyward with Hope to a better future. The act of reflection, of looking above and beyond, will itself equip us better to achieve that future, to help bring it into being. Hope can be misguided, or too passive, but she is almost always necessary, worthy, welcome, and comforting." It is unfair for anyone to say "all things for a reason," and I think that this card, Williams' interpretation goes beyond saying only this. This card tells us to learn from our mistakes. Life comes with its ups and downs. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Without hope, our motivation can wane, making it difficult to move on. We need a power source to move onward so we can reassess, regroup, and "re-act." Who or what is a role model in my life? Do I aspire to a particular person, or is it an ideal or set of ideals? None is particularly better than the other. What can I focus on to help guide me through bad times? Do I enjoy quietude and meditation, or do I prefer to stay busy when times are tough? Do I seek the company of others instead? Where do I find strength? Is it in my work or in play? Is it in my solace or in the company of family and friends? When is the best time for me to reflect? Morning, noon, or evening? When is my energy level at its peak? Why am I aspiring to my goals? Do I need to seek attainment at all? what is my end game? What do I hope to achieve in life?
