fire cat pickles Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Williams Minchiate: "The Four of Staves offers welcome news of ease, pleasure, romance. A harmonious balance of forces." The Staves represent Earth, work, pursuits, the physical. The number four brings 2 two's together into balance: two opposing forces. In our natural lives we have to satisfy our immediate needs, work and pleasure. Although we do not ignore the spiritual aspect of our intimate relationships, this card asks us only to examine the physical side of our romantic nature. I extend this card to one's occupation. This is optional, as most do not enjoy working or education! I see it as a necessity for survival, so I might as well enjoy it! If you derive pleasure from your profession, please fell free to use the second half of the meditation questions in addition to the first half. If I am single: Am I practicing self-care enough? Do I put myself and my needs first? What am I looking for in a mate? If I am in a relationship, am I giving too much and expecting too little? Or is the opposite true? What can I do for them to foster a better relationship? What can they do for me? This can be a time-management card, as well. How well am I managing my time? Is my life-work balance set correctly? What career or educational opportunities am I interested in? If not, how can I take care of myself? Is my life-work balance set right?
