Wyrdkiss Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) Years ago late one night I was enjoying a drink, smoking, and free-form pulling cards. I accidentally grazed the back of this pack with a lit clove cigarette, permanently burning a blemish on the card. I still love and read with this one. What tarot blunders have damaged your decks unnaturally? Did you keep it your reading rotation? Pictured: Deck of the Bastard from TarotbySeven, LLC. This back is a custom choice and I believe no longer available. This is the standard sized, keyworded first edition. Keywords are both upright and reversed. Share your mishaps -- I cannot be the only one with a few tarot regrets. Edited July 18 by Wyrdkiss
Libra 58 Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I have bent a corner on one card of my Cosmic Tarot. Don´t remember what card or how it happen, but of course I got sad. I can still use the deck but the card reminds me every time that it´s broken...😞 Some years later I got a new deck from my cousin that said she didn´t use her deck anymore. I could of course bought myself a new deck but this time I didn´t have to.

If it skews the reading, or pulls more easily out of the deck, that is a problem. Glad it worked out.
zurgles Posted Thursday at 10:07 PM Posted Thursday at 10:07 PM (edited) When I was around 22 years old, when I first got my Shadowscapes deck, I heard a tip that if you sleep with a card under your pillow you may dream of it or have interesting dreams. I used to have intense dreams, insomnia, and sleep paralysis so that sounded appealing. I tried it with my favorite card, the Star, and of course when I woke up it was creased 🤪 I went to take a picture of it and it was worse in my memory. I guess it healed 😂 You can mostly see it on the title, which isn’t too bad. If I were to try this again, I’d put it in a book first. I saw that suggestion after trying my experiment. It should’ve been obvious to me, but lesson learned anyway. And yeah, I didn’t stop using the deck, of course. Edited Thursday at 10:08 PM by zurgles
Tanga Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I de-bordered my Golden Tarot by Cat Black - and regretted it. It looks nicer with the borders on. Sigh. I supposed I should just get a new one... but noooooo - I am attached to my de-bordered one. Lol.
