The King of Wands, he also wants to become a king, and he is his great role model and master in his element.

Yup, I'd say the King of Wands. He looks up to him. He's a role model.

Even without reading Ix Chel's answer, I thought that what the Knight of Wands wants more than anything else is to be the King. He might not like some of the King of Wands' faults because they remind him of his own, but since he has a high degree of self-esteem, the mature Wands qualities manifested by the King remind him of what he can eventually achieve.

The more I think about it, the more this resonates with me.  There is a self-confidence (tending to arrogance?) about the Knight.  I don't see him spending much time wondering whether someone else is better at something than he is.
