Chasing That Dream Deck -- My Plan to Acquire The Tarot of Echoes AND Improve My Health

Recommended Posts

It seems I've devised a plan for 2026.

My absolutely top desired deck  is The Tarot of Echoes by Ana Tourian . Picture for reference.  It is limited to 750, out of print, and was supposed to go to Mass Market, first in 2024, and now by this year. I'm not holding my breath as publishers are a fickle lot and anything can change. It's already October on that note.

So I've devised  a realistic way to acquire a used copy, which currently run about $350 on eBay when one appears.  I am going to continue my goal of eating healthier. Each day I do not buy junk food of any kind, I will put $1 into a fund.  At the end of the year, If I have maintained a strong semblance of discipline, I will buy my dream deck in late Fall - December 2026 at a max cost of what I've saved.  This gives me a bit of "wiggle room" for any occasions where I may opt for a sugary snack, but not many.

With work I may lose a bit of weight, continue to feel better, and own a cherished pack in my hands by the end of next year. Starts October 1st, wish me luck.

Great plan!  I'm not a total convert to this deck myself, but I am quite drawn to the Pentacles cards.  Some really good ideas in there.

Best of luck!

Just curious—which publisher is set to produce the mass market version?

Her website claims U.S. games is supporting the project.

Ah.  I had a conversation with an artist who created a deck.  She met with US Games in late 2023, and told me back then that the contract was signed and the deck would be published by them—but not until 2026!  I don't know why they need such a long lead time, but that's apparently how they do things.

that is understandable, especially with current world complexities. I just fear it won't happen, I desire the deck so much.  With a bit of luck however, I'll be able to enjoy it for 30 dollars , not 300.

There's one on Ebay right now for a $165 buy it now.  I just went and did a search.

That might just be an oracle though.

It is the oracle, which goes for less.  Thank you though.

It truly is! and  will sell so well as a Mass Market.
