Ix Chel Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 35. Would the King of Pentacles describe himself as 'fun-loving'? No, that description suits better to the Knight of Wands. The King of Pentacles is more about money and luxury.
Jewel Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Loving yes, fun loving ... no. I see him as a more reserved type. Great warm heart, but more on the serious side.
Starlight Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 That wouldn't be the first words out of his mouth to describe himself. He'd say more that he enjoys the finer things in life. Fun loving would be for the Page or Knight.
EmpyreanKnight Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 He can host the grandest society parties to display his affluence and social status and also to hobnob with his peers. Since this is his definition of fun, I'd have to go with a yes. :)
Cobweb Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Yes, I think he probably would. I think he's sociable and I think he likes the finer things in life; that tends to include good parties, good music, good food and good alcohol. I think he'd say those things were fun. I don't see him as a thrill-seeker though - so if your definition of fun is an adrenaline buzz, it's probably not for him.
Saturn Celeste Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 He can host the grandest society parties to display his affluence and social status and also to hobnob with his peers. Since this is his definition of fun, I'd have to go with a yes. :) Absolutely! My King of Pentacles is a smooth operator. He's wealthy, he's older and knows his mind and he's opulent! He knows how to show people a good time but when the party is over, he retires to his bedroom with a special someone (or two) and let's the maid clean up the mess from the party. He's reserved by day but a bull at night. ;)

Avalon Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Yes, he wouldn't have been so driven if he doesn't know what fun is.
Oumee Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 I would say that he is not typically fun-loving person. He likes to laugh but he is not a source of jokes, fun, entertainment as The King of wands (or the other wands family members). He sits in his chair, close to a fireplace, listen funny talks and laugh on wands' family foolishness and jokes. O. <3 <3 <3
FoolsKey Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I agree that it's not a great way for others to describe the King of Pentacles, but I could see him describing himself that way. He would just have is own idea of what 'fun' is that probably doesn't match other people's definition. I think he has an expansive view of fun, perhaps finding pleasure in what others would find boring or mundane.
Chariot Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Hmm. An interesting question. I feel that no, The King of Pentacles will not describe himself as 'fun-loving.' He probably admits he likes to relax and enjoy himself (whatever pastimes and company float his boat) but 'fun-loving' implies (to me, anyway) that a person will drop most other activities if an opportunity to have 'fun' appears. I don't think that's the King of Pentacles' vibe at all. That's not to say he's dour or a stick-in-the-mud, but I think he probably likes to pace himself, get his work done, ensure people in his care are doing well, then maybe go off for a fishing trip or host an at-home dinner party for friends, or spend some time drawing and painting, if that's his thing ...or maybe go to the movies or the theatre. He may also enjoy playing sports, and if he does, he'll probably be very good at it. But the more serious, grounding aspects of life will likely take precedence for him, before he'll indulge in 'fun.'
