There's probably a thread for this, here, already, but I would love it if you could share your best interview or meet a new deck Tarot deck and Oracle deck spreads with me.

Thank you so much!

Hmmmmmm, I haven't really done any proper interview spreads, myself... There is the Bijou Spread here that I had meant to try out and forgot to. ^^;; So far I've really just said hello and asked "How will we work together?" and gone from there. (◕‿◕❀)

Posted

I think I ended up using the Bijou Spread without realizing it in my new deck reading, today:

Tarot of the Hidden Realm

(Not my spread. Apologies for not knowing whence it comes).

******5******6******

**********4*********

******3******2******

**********1*********

1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?

2. What are your strengths as a deck?

3. What are your limits as a deck?

4. What do you bring to the table - what are you here to teach me?

5. How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?

6. What is the potential outcome of our relationship?

1. Knight of Cups

This beautiful knight is telling me that The Tarot of the Hidden Realm values the experiences of the heart and soul more than anything else. He councils that if I am willing to take my time with it and stay in the present moment with whomever shows up, its denizens will "walk" with me.

2. Five of Cups

It will tap into the emotions, mine and those of whomever I read for with this Tarot, encourage us to feel what we've been holding back and help us work through those emotions, move past them and experience the cleansing and healing they bring.

3. Six of Cups

That it deals mostly with emotion. Like in this reading, it produced no fewer than four Cups!

4. Ace of Pentacles

A very special gift. It will teach me not to despise small beginnings, to look for the good where it is hidden and recognize it no matter how awkward or silly the package in which goodness hides. Especially to see that there is in even the smallest thing the potential to achieve amazing things.

5. 4 of Cups

By opening my eyes to what is before me and recognizing that our collaboration will be joyful. That I can turn to these inhabitants of the Hidden Realm for comfort.

6. XX Life Renewal (Normally, Judgement)

Help me become what I am meant to be.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful Tarot.

I saw it the other day on AT and struck by the fact that these are the faces of the beings of this mystical world. The images have little else but symbols and these beautifully expressive faces and figures. Someone was put off by the fact that cards are like this, but when I saw the set at my local bookstore, I picked it up. I put it back down again, fearing that the cards would be too small for my taste - I who, usually, likes larger than average cards -, but it kept calling to me. I walked out of the store, only to go back and bring it home with me. So very glad I listened to my intuition... again. :D

Sacred Cave Spread

There are times when we need to retreat from our hectic schedules and find a safe place deep inside ourselves where we can curl up and be nurtured. Sacred Cave gives us such a place and forges a strong bond between ourselves and our cave-dwelling ancestors, who left their red hand-prints as legacies on the walls. Cave images hold rich significance for us, reminding us of safety, community, and the strong magick made by priestesses who danced and sang there. Caves are the wombs of Mother Earth. Any tune you need to find the arms of the Mother wrapped around you, you can play Sacred Cave. The Tarot will show you how to give yourself the nurturing you need.

2q9jbjb.jpg

Shuffle the cards face down and choose six cards at random. Arrange them in the pattern shown to form your own Sacred Cave. Although ail the cards in your Cave are valuable allies, card 4 deserves special attention It will help you to feel safe and protected.

Card 1: Where I am now

Card 2: Empowers me

Card 3: Keeps me company

Card 4: Shelters me

Card 5: What I seek here

Card 6: What I feel the need to create

(Apologies. I don't quite remember where I got this from).

I'm adding the deck spread I made up. I hope it's useful to someone here.

I wanted some advice about doing a reading with a deck I felt a little nervous about. I could have used a new deck spread, but I don’t really like deck spreads because, to me, a deck is not “alive.” It doesn’t want me to know anything in particular, etc. So this is what I came up with:

Spread for how to read with a new or not recently used or problematic deck:

      5

3    1    4

      2

1. My attitude towards the deck

2. Do this before a reading

3. When reading with this deck, do this less

4. When reading with this deck, do this more

5. How to put it all together

This spread was created to help bring these fears to light, show how we are affected, and offer advice to how to overcome them.

1, What am I avoiding?

2. What is it that I fear?

3. How am I limiting myself?

4. What aspect of my life/self is causing this?

5. How can I overcome this fear?

6. What do I need to change/embrace?

7. How do I move beyond this limitation?

8. What can I do to overcome my fear?

Others

1. What am I finishing now and leaving?

2. Who are my guides for this next journey?

3. What traits can I work on to achieve a more successful outcome?

4. What will be my new learned strengths?

5. Outcome?

1. What you need to leave behind, to release.

2. What you must confront.

3. What you need to know.

4. What you attain.

I tried this YES/NO Spread and love it. (Will see if my "Soon" will come true.

Write your yes-no question down.

Remove the Wheel of Fortune from the deck and place it before you face up.

Shuffle the rest of the deck, with your mind on the problem. Spread the cards in a fan, face down. With your left hand, draw seven cards at random. Put them face down on top of the Wheel. Set the remaining deck aside.

Turn the Wheel of Fortune face down like the other seven cards. Shuffle these eight cards until you no longer know where the Wheel is.

Deal the eight cards in a square consisting of four positions, so that there are two cards in each position:

Top Left: The 1st position (cards 1 & 5) signifies – YES.

Top Right: The 2nd position (cards 2 & 6) signifies – SOON.

Bottom Left: The 3rd position (cards 3 & 7) signifies – DELAY.

Bottom Right: The 4th position (cards 4 & 8) signifies – NO.
