My reflections on this right now consider the counterbalance - there's an in between state - perhaps a goal is contemplated but the strategy needs to be decided - before movement. Like the guys in the back of the RWS the thief hasn't thought of (or did but took the risk?), and like the elderly guy on this card (Saturn - restraint - and a sort of meat 'tenderising' - having had enough time to marinate and consider all things in the world and to throw away the toxic masculinity that may have burdened his youth).  But then we have women being more masculine too.

It's weird that we (me) can look at cards for years and not think about something - or maybe we do but it is fleeting and disappears. But maybe that's an element of what this card is saying. My information superhighway isn't backed up - the traffic flows speedily past - it goes quickly on its way and sometimes I have to catch up....

All 7 suit-cards are like a set of scales of Venus/Libra, a weighing up process. Here, one sword is balancing / weighing up 6 swords with 3 suspended on either side. On both sides there is a 'positive' a 'negative' and a 'neutral' or unknown. Maybe it's a me-them-all of us consideration or one/the other/everything. Positive/negative can indicate gender among other things, but the unknown requires intuition, which may be why he's wearing the dress. That one thing needed in this mix.

Swords are masculine so penetration is an element - which indicates penetrative thinking. But here we have to make decisions from the big head not the small one... again, this is probably why he's wearing the dress among other things. The great minds like Einstein and Jung had feminine elements in their process and didn't question it (despite their work being Aquarianish-oriented - probably why he's the water bearer - emotionally aloof but still sensitive), yet look around and we have so many men in positions of power now that are overly masculine and totally lack any feminine touch. Earth is a female - look what they've done to her in their decision-making.

Lots more I could say - but this seems to be what's going on in the wider world. I'm not sure there's any relevance to what we're looking at here in this decan. Just another rambling reflection.
