44. Would the Page of Swords describe himself as 'secretive'?

The dictionary says that being secretive means: people who are secretive hide their feelings, thoughts, intentions, and actions from other people. Yes, the Page of Swords is secretive. He does not trust easy persons. You never know if there are things, what you do not see. He sees everywhere conspiracy theories and he likes to spy.

I have a problem with questions about court cards calling themselves anything that could be construed as 'negative'. That's asking more about their mindset, which is the whole nature/nurture issue. Plus, what sort of person would consider secretive to be a good thing? Now, if the question was changed to, Would the PoS describe himself as a private person? That I could answer.  Or would the PoS consider himself a discreet person, capable of keeping a secret? That I could answer. :)

I do not believe he would use that term as a descriptor.

The Page of Swords can be taciturn and a bit of a loner, but I don't think he's exactly secretive. In fact, he's quite straightforward, not being prone to dissimulation.

I don't think he'd describe himself as secretive.

Also, I don't think he is secretive.

He's wary and watchful and doesn't trust easily.  That means he's a little reserved and doesn't tell everyone everything about himself the first time he meets them.  It's not the same as secretive.  Secretive implies an element of deliberate deception to me which is difficult for me to reconcile with the direct, even cutting, honesty of the Swords.

And he's a bad person to try and keep secrets from (any of the swords would be) but the Page has enough trust issues to start with!

No, the Page of Swords would not say he’s secretive.  I agree that he would say he could keep a secret.

No.  Things need to make sense to himself before he does anything about it.

Yes, he is secretive, but his point of view, when it comes to secrets is quite unique. If the page does not consder some information as a secret he does not have a problem to share it with the other people. On the other hand, if he finds something as a secret, no power in this world can break his secrecy.

As the protege/prodigy of the suit of IT and communications, I think the Page of Swords would hardly be secretive. If he is though, he would present it in a more devious way - by using his online persona to entice and obfuscate, hiding his true self behind a false but beguiling facade.

Sometimes he's a spy, tho. He might be doing industrial or cyber espionage and thus s/he invokes both sides of the secrecy sword. Keeping his own secrets while learning the secrets others wish to keep.
