A Witch's travel kit. Do you have one?

Featured Replies

I was watching one of my favourite witches on instagram the other day - "thatglasgowwitch". & she was talking about the tools she travels long distance with - like when she goes on holiday, or to a conference etc. - where she would stay overnight.

She said she always takes with her:

1) Her silver spoon that she uses to stir intention into her beverages.

2) Her anointing oil, to anoint herself.

3) Her journal.

I was delighted to discover that she has a "magick spoon"... because I have several 🙃 😄😄.

I've not considered travelling with any of them, but it got me thinking!

Anyway, these are the magickal tools that I take with me whenever I travel away from home for a long period of time:

1) My Gendron Tarot deck, debordered, it fits perfectly in my hands, & I coloured the edges with shiny felt(glitter) - tips.

2) My travelling Altar-in-a-tin, which is c.2inches in diametre and contains : blue goldstone (like the Sky Goddess Nut) carvings of animals representing the 4 elements & the Goddess, with a string of moonstones to encircle them in sanctity. And a plectrum with an engraving of a wolf howling at the moon (I just liked it & it fits perfectly in the tin. I do not play guitar). The stone shapes are - Elephant, eagle, frog, lizard & Venus of Willendorf.

3) My tini-est magickal spoon - 4 inches long, which fits in a pocket easily. The magickal spoon is a form of wand - in case you are wondering.

This is the newest addition to my travelling ensemble.

I'm also considering adding a tiny instrument... perhaps a bell, or taking my banishing tuning fork (yes - I have a gold coloured tuning fork, that I use to clear energy. The sound is LOUD & pleasant, & the fork is small enough to fit in a pocket, plus - I can weild it like a wand. Perfect!).

Do you have any magickal items that you always take with you when you are away from home for a long time?

*I almost forgot - in the photo is also my tiny little Ethiopian opal star ring. I really like opals and I have a few. This one is my current favourite, set in copper (Etsy.com).

Opal is irridescent magick to me.
