Decks with a sense of humor? Go!

So I have some very serious decks, and some very whimsical ones, and some "light" and "dark" ones, and, and...the list goes on. Suffice it to say that every deck has its own unique vibration and personality.

With that in mind: I asked THE EVERYDAY WITCH deck today about a possible move from Chicago to back home, in Bethlehem, PA (after 20+ years of being away!). My outcome card was the Five of Pentacles. Now we all know the "normal" interpretations for this card, but today it struck me as quite literal and even funny, right down to the fact that I just sent my Mom out to visit a house today that is new to the market. (There's an open house today and when I saw the pic of it, I thought, immediately, THAT'S OUR HOUSE!) Also, Mom is literally heading out to see it in the snow (they got several inches last night).

Can you think of any other decks with a playful sense of humor?

The Zombie Tarot and Housewive's Tarot have a real sense of humour. They are by the same person. You have to use them with a sense of humour because they are very themed decks and you have to get into the theme to use them, they are not to be taken seriously. They are light hearted but can pack quite a sharp reading at times in my readings experience :)

The Eros: Garden of Love Tarot has a rather bawdy sense of humor.

I find the Deviant Moon Tarot quite humorous too.

I find most cat decks to be slyly humorous.  Having lived with cats for many years, I can appreciate their dry humour.

Deviant Moon??! I guess so, cause I had to move it out of my bedroom to go to sleep...that was humorous. I do like it, I’m thinking of repurchasing.

I guess some find the Deviant Moon quite odd and creepy. I'm glad that you like it too tho. ^-^

For me, the Vanessa Tarot has a sassy kind of humor. The Bohemian Cats make me smile as well, just because they are so over the top!

The first two that comes to mind are Bohemian gothic and Dame Darcy!

HAHA...I even found out yesterday afternoon that she took my brother with her to see it! Too funny. That was a surprise.

They had a good time at the open house, by the way. Mom is already calling the back in-law quarters of the house "her apartment." (She wants to sell her farm due to age issues/not being able to maintain the large property.)

Fingers crossed!

Also, thanks for the suggestions. Keep 'em coming.

I've seen  Deviant Moon but don't own it. I can't sleep too close to my Thoth deck, or my dreams are very seriously altered...

Decameron, hands down.

Oh my god I love that deck!  It has the very best Devil card I’ve ever seen!  I agree, it is a very playful deck!

The Kitty Kahane -- reminds me a bit of the Far Side cartoons which I loved growing up. :)

The Saki Saki can also be fun.

Googling it now...

Btw, some find it quite disturbing, but I find the Phantasmagorical Theater Tarot quite funny. Some of the backstories of the characters in the LWB made me go :o

I only perused a friend's copy, but I'm thinking that I really should get one for myself :D

Same here.  Probably because my first was the Baroque Bohemian Cats, and I got used to looking at the message as if coming from a feline so now when I see cats on a deck the "cat" type interpretations are what I see and get which I find humorous.

I also find the Tarot of the Magical Forest quite quirky and humorous.

I agree, for the most part. I have a lot of cat decks, and they are sly! (Everyday Witch has cats in almost all cards, too.) BUT: One of my very first decks (it was either my first or second deck when I started reading at age 14--I still have it and use it everyday!) is THE CAT PEOPLE, and I find that deck *very* serious. If I want the sternest take on anything, I consult it. It's always so hard on me! Also, it's really got an inter-dimensional vibe, more than anything. It's like meditating with a meteorite or something...can't quite explain.

I have that deck and the book, but have never really worked with it ....... now you got me thinking I should pull it out and use it for one of my decks of the month projects (what I have committed to do in order to make use of my decks LOL).

I'd definitely be getting myself a copy of this deck. It looks like fun with all those cute critters, but from the reviews I've read it can pack quite a punch if necessary.

Fantastic Menagerie.

That deck is on my wish list.

I also would like to add the Tarot of the Absurd.

The Tarot of the III Millennium

http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/tarot-iii-millennium/

And specifically for Italian humor

The Manara

http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/manara-erotic/cards.shtml

And the Sola Busca for poking humor at leaders of the time.

This makes me all the more curious about the Game of Saturn book. AFAIK most of the characters in the Sola Busca are from Ancient Rome, Greece, Babylon, etc. Does the book suggest sly references to the Italian nobility of that time?
