Has anybody played The Arcana: A Mystic Romance game before? It looks mighty interesting.

 

The FAQ says that it is "a fantasy/romance visual novel for iOS & Android. You, the player, are an apprentice magician with a gift for fortune-telling. Left in possession of an unusually enchanted Tarot deck, you must navigate intrigue, murder, magic… and perhaps a few saucy encounters."

The artwork's not really my style, but I'm intrigued enough I'd give it a go if I could. xD; Please report back about it! If the storyline's as good as some of the other otome-style games I've played I could see myself getting proper sucked into it, especially with the magic and fortune telling elements in it! (I'm a sucker for them. (>ω<❀)

I checked out the reviews on Google Play and it seems like some people think it's difficult to enjoy without spending loads of cash in-game... That would make me really sad if it were the case. orz I hope it ends up not being the case. :)

Just read the reviews and yikes, you're right, faerybraids. A friend recommended it, and I know she doesn't like to spend much on stuff so I wasn't expecting that. I'd still test it to see if it's worthwhile tho.

 

I wonder if anyone else has played the game. Just to get it straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. :)

Maybe it's just down to personal taste in the end? I don't like to spend much on stuff either (generally I just can't ^^;; ), so maybe there's still enough to enjoy if you don't mind grinding a bit.

 

I'm definitely curious to hear about it from someone who's played it as well. :)
