EmpyreanKnight Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Does anybody have the Sinking Wasteland Tarot? What do you think about it? Do you use it often, and would you recommend it? At first I didn't really take to it, since I just wasn't enamored of the deck's artistic style. It has really grown on me tho. I like its gothy apocalyptic vibe, and tho it's RWS-based, I admire how creative its takes on it are. Btw, HERE are images of the cards in the deck's website.

Not quite my taste, but it is definitely striking and has a sort of Metropolis feel about it. I can see how it can even haunt one's mind in a strange way.
cosita Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 The deck creator has a new deck called the Neon Moon Tarot that's funding on Kickstarter. (You'll have to search it, I can't post links.) It might be more up your alley, EmpyreanKnight[/member] .
EmpyreanKnight Posted February 22, 2018 Author Posted February 22, 2018 Hi cosita! :D Thanks for the heads up on the Neon Moon. I'm not really a fan of fuchsia, so I might have to pass on that deck.
NerdyShelties Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 I've got that one, actually two since I got the original one from Etsy and the recent new version on kickstarter. So as you might guess I love it. I find it pretty readable too, but I think there are some pop culture touch points in the deck that I pick up on. And I love the art, if you could see the walls of my house are covered with comic book art, to my husbands annoyance. :) Not the superhero stuff, more sci-fi graphic novel stuff, like Saga or Chew. Oh and too add, I've back neon moon and can't wait! To me, comic books are a way of telling stories visually. And tarot is a way to visually tell your own story, so it's a good match.
cosita Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 EmpyreanKnight[/member] Hey! I would really love to dig into that tarot closet of yours because I feel like you have a TON of interesting stuff in there! NerdyShelties[/member] I'm guessing you've seen/bought the Next World Tarot too? I was on the fence on that one but the art is definitely of the graphic novel variety.

It might make it's way into my collection at some point though. :)
EmpyreanKnight Posted February 26, 2018 Author Posted February 26, 2018 Lol thanks. Your collection is classy, cosita, with those historical decks and Meneghellos. <3
