I just saw the R.Black tarot site.  It looks so close to being available.  I don't remember the last time I looked at cards and went "I need THAT" so intensely.  Not simply to collect, but to actively read with.   

Just today I checked the site and there still wasn't that last card, but then Rich Black posted proofs on his Instagram today! Its happening!!

Does anyone know if and when this will be available? Love what I've seen from the deck so far!

As with the Fyodor deck - I WISH people would keep updates on their sites - I will not sign up for instagram, and therefore can usually not see such things... This one is no exception. "Sign in with facebook or create an account..."

Honestly, it's been the source of 90% of my rarer decks--they tend to post in the #tarotdeck tag as they're prepping for release, or during the art phase, so I know to drop them on my follow list and be ready to pounce.

Yeah I hear you but how else can you grow an audience of followers? There are soooo many websites out there and if you do not pay for adverts it is very difficult to be found.

That's indeed the real problem. Really I wish IG didn't require an account. x.x I have a host of throw-away emails JUST for this purpose, though.

@Niobium I am so grateful to you for doing this, doing the IG tracking and then updating this forum.  I'm not anti-IG, but I personally don't have time to do everything else I do and follow the other social media I follow and keep up with IG or Tumblr.  My daily time on Twitter and FB is intentionally limited, so I'm way more likely to find out about tarot deck releases because of you updating all of us here, a place I scan in ways I don't all four of the above.  ❤️

He doesn't mention where the sales are being done--probably his personal webpage?--so I will post again once he answers that question. Video on his Instagram of the deck.

 

"I have only produced 1000 decks, so there will be no wholesale on these and limited quantities per person. Each deck and box was personally collated and built by me. Sales will start on August 16th at 12pm PST. the deck will be $100 each plus shipping and handling, which will be about $7 US, $25 international. Payment will be handled through Venmo, Wise and Zelle, more details on the 16th.

 

Note that although he says 'PST' I assume he means PDT because Daylight Savings Time in the US doesn't end until around November. I'm very glad he's going to limit decks per person, presumably to prevent the purchase-to-resell situation going on with other decks.

 

From the video, the box is 2-part and solid black. An answer to a question about the cardstock and size in the comments:

 

2.5 x 3.75 The paper is Tango C2S 12pt FSC certified.

 

And the final bit of info--yes, the sales are happening on his personal site, no, there will be no pre-ordering:
